When I purchased project zomboid on December 27th of 2020 I flew straight into the Build 41 IWBUMS at the time, dying again and again in singleplayer with narry a soul to play alongside.

Then I started playing with mods, and stumbled upon this mod. Superb Survivors. Now I had other survivors, bandits lurking, even being gunned down by a "Gang Leader" Npc. The experiences I had brought forth and gratified every emotion, each character and npc weaving not a game, but a story of how we died. But then... The beta updates broke Superb Survivors. My singleplayer worlds became desolate again, a spark lost, hope diminished.

Just when I thought I'd never have such an experience again user SlightlyAMadman picked up the torch and created "Subpar Survivors," a mod updating and fixing Superb Survivors gradually. Cinders were stirred, the pyre of excitement roaring back to life. Singleplayer wasn't single anymore, the web of experiences and stories continued; But I was wrong......

On Aiteron's Private Discord Server he finally debuted his own npc mod from scratch, known as "Project Humanoid," which brought a great alternative! That is of course until the author of Subpar Survivors stopped working on Subpar, joining the testing for Project Humanoid. Project Humanoid was great at first, but not being able to adjust spawn settings for the npcs so my PC could handle the mod strained the fun to be had. It seemed like I was returning to square one, on all alone street..........

Nowadays in wait for Project Humanoid to receive an official update for Build 41's Official Release so the npcs stop bugging out hunting for water I cling to the newest burning torch for Superb Survivors in the form of the mod "Survivors 2 in 1," a mod made by a Chinese mod author who's username I respect too much to attempt to copy and paste without messing it up that once again carries the legacy of Superb Survivors upon its back, gradually nursing it to health. Even still I cling with a sense of dread and dying hope that Nolan will come back, even with The Indie Stone's announcement of adding npcs to the game.

If it isn't we as a community then still I miss you Nolan and I miss Superb Survivors. Hopefully you're doing well, and this mod will always remain as a memory within me....
