Superb Survivors!
Random jumpscare sounds
Sometimes when I make my character look around, I get a jumpscare as if a zombie appeared in front of me, even though there was none to begin with. My assumption is that it has something to do with Survivors offscreen ending up being in the direction I'm looking at?
I've tested this mod by itself and it's definitely Superb Survivors causing it, and it can happen very frequently when you have the spawnrate set really high.

Anyone else getting this? Any fixes?

noticed this also I was originally thinking it was due to a member in the group but also happens randomly on a fresh game with no members.

i think it happens when an npc encounters a zombie and the jumpscare sound plays as if the player encountered the zombie. I wonder if it'll ever get fixed, it gets annoying after a while

Did some digging seems to be hard coded into isoPlayer.java BUT you can always lower/disable that volume in your game options/audio remember. Not sure if its going to be possible to actually fix it but looking into it.

Hmmm yeah honestly I'm willing to sacrifice the jumpscare sound if it means not getting randomly jumpscared (and not randomly jumpscared too :spiffo: )

then for now I suggest just lowering it or just flat out all the way down in sound settings. a fix for this isnt going to be easy.
btw I never played MP does jumpscares work okay in MP? or dont exist dunno...

I know vanilla jumpscares work fine in MP, but I've no idea if the glitch jumpscares from this mod still bug out in MP

it looks like with some other mods that the npcs are just a copy of the player but controlled by ai, so it would play the sound because a survivor saw a zombie

You know, that may explain why nearly every time an npc spawns, I always silently get an "increase" in light footed and some other skills even though I never actually got an increase. It's probably their stats being created that's expressed as if my stats were getting increased.
