This just happened to me. I was with one survivor, 17 days into one of the most fun runs I’ve had in a long time. I was about to fight a small group of around four or five zombies when my survivor panicked, full-sprinted right at me and the zombies, and sent me flying straight into the middle of them. I died instantly. This is the second life I’ve lost like this in a row, and it’s infuriating. I don’t understand why they run straight into the zombies when panicked. It's and awesome but if this doesn't get fixed it feels to risky to play for a serious run.
