Faction Sparta, Both in WOS and Empire Campaign.
I love your Spartans, but one thing. Should Sparta Hoplites, have more Pilos helms more common, and that some have no horse hair, and others differently?

The Tunic's only. Instead of what you gave them? Because as being a weak faction at that time most couldn't afford Linothorax. They can have grieves on legs for the more experienced Hoplites.

The PIlos type helmet was most popular in Peloponnesos, for example Spartans used this type often. Greek helmet types include: Corinthian, Illyrian, Chalcidian, Phrygian, Thracian, Attic, Cretan, Boeotian, Pilos, Petasos and Konos.

I know you used the other amour and helms for other units which are excellent and with other factions.

The linothorax was the most popular type of Armour worn by the hoplites, since it was cost-effective and provided decent protection. The richer upper-class hoplites typically had a bronze cuirass of either the bell or muscled variety, a bronze helmet with cheekplates, as well as greaves and other armour.

The design of the helmets used varied through time. The Corinthian helmet was at first standardized and was a very successful design. Later variants included the Chalcidian helmet, a lightened version of the Corinthian helmet, and the very simple Pilos helmet worn by the later hoplites. For Empires TW.

Often the helmet was decorated with one, sometimes more horsehair crests, and/or bronze animal horns and ears. Helmets were often painted as well.

The Thracian helmet had a large visor to further increase protection. In later periods, linen breastplates called linothorax were used, as they were tougher and cheaper to make.

As i said I love you units, your mod is amazing. I hope you will add a skin patch or mod, for the Spartan units for the tunic, and more Pilo's helm.

The example I saw and studied before came from, Osprey. " The Spartan Army". It's a very good book. Thank you..

Yes, I was thinking more on the Tunic's, and regular pilos For the Spartan hoplites, with a mix of the horse hair with other units( which you have). Not just the youth in Tunic's. But, yet the best Mod I seen yet.

I worked on Rome 1, with DVK on his Spartan units did research. I seen some pilo's that are in color. And some are plain. Excellent! Very History framed. Thanks.

What type of socks did the Spartans wear? And did they not wear ear muffs in the winter-cause I read once that they did when they used ski units as commandos in mountain regions-so can you give them ear muffs for the winter campaigns?

I wasn't t mocking the Mod. Just pointing out that most Spartan hoplites, only had a tunic, the pilos' helm, shield, or aspis and spear and sword. The rich was able to buy better protection. Still a very good mod. Thanks.
