Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Orbis Terrarum II
BLUE TREES WITH YELLOW TIPS?
So, I haven't had ANY issues with this mod...until today. Completely out of nowhere, the Winter Spruce/Pine trees seem to have suddenly reverted into these weird, color-coded textures that I can only assume are for debugging purposes. Here's a screenshot:

I know I'm not the only one who has the issue, as someone else has brought it up in the comments. Is there a solution to this? Or is this a byproduct of the recent update that is yet to be fixed?

Bring this up in the bug reports; more likely to be seen
Anybody find a fix for this yet?
Deleting the spruce tree models and texture from the archive using pack file manager is the simplest way. I personally made a separate archive with non bugged ToB models that I use along the main mod.

Gave up on this Thread when Celticus couldn't find a solution.

Anyway, some good news, one of the guys behind Para Bellum said to use their Weather Submod as a standalone. It doesn't have the cool UI elements & lighting changes like Orbis, but it does the same retextures(Such as the Barbarian Villages and certain trees) as it, & thensome, without the Spruce tree glitch.

They said it can be used without the "requirements" too, so that way it'll work with DEI. I've tested it, and it works like a charm.

That being said Esoteric, you should honestly make a Submod for Orbis then since you found a fix, because a lot of people still *really* want the Lighting and UI changes this Mod brings. Myself included

Edit: Ironically enough, I think Celticus himself is working Para Bellum team now lmao

Very late reply man here. I did make a "sort" of submod where I just ripped the model and textures straight from ToB myself, which seems to have worked. Not the most clean solution though.

I guess people can dm me if they want to try it, and if Celticus doesn't object. Might still have to delete any conflicting files using pack file manager though, but it's untested.

I don't think Celticus would mind at all, since apparently he's not supporting this anymore anyway(According to a few comments)

If you were to upload a Submod that acts as a Patch for this mod? You'd be a lifesaver for so many people. Most have started using Para Bellum - Weather, or one of Enkeli's mods alternatively, but those only do so much & don't have the cool UI changes. Not to mention Enkeli's mods are well...controversial, to say the least. DEI's Discord has been openly hostile to anybody who uses Enkeli's mods, and for good reasons, but now it's starting to get out of hand. Everybody's saying to use this mod instead of Enkeli's or Para Bellum - Weather, but nobody is stepping up to the plate to "fix" it.

You may very be the only one who is willing lol

Well maybe. I would need to people to test it first before I commit to doing anything. This is really only a very rudimentary solution since my modding skills really are eons behind that of people like Celticus.

for reference using rfpm the tables to delete in the pack file are found here

"battleterrain/vegetation/trees/spruce"

"battleterrain/vegetation/trees/textures/spruce"

Rusted PackFile Manager (its well documented how to setup)
https://github.com/Frodo45127/rpfm

Id also recommend copying the mod pack file from its workshop location to the R2/data folder and loading it from there for performance, that way your also modifying a copy.

What are the downsides?

None that I know of, these textures cause issues, so this removes them.
