Somehow, people are accessing the CRISPR/Gene Editing presumably through some oversight on my end or spawning it in somehow. Since everyone seems to be discovering I might as well tell you how to use it.

This is obviously incomplete; It won't work until whenever the next update is for vanilla barotrauma that adds the functionality it uses. If you switch to unstable it will work properly.

STEP 1:
Equip the CRISPR-Cas9 solution in your hand. A small interface should show up on the screen prompting you on which part of your body you want to edit the genes of. The choices are Head, Torso, and Limbs. Specifically:

Head gives you a special attack option that you can activate by pressing the "Creature Attack" button (you can see which button this is in control bind settings). If it's set to R in settings, you might want to change it so it doesn't trigger the radio.

Torso splicing gives you something that usually serves as armor, or affects your health, or grants you immunity to some kind of damage.

Limbs usually affects movement somehow, or gives you a different passive ability.

Once you've made up your mind, press the button and you should hear a confirm-beep. Inject yourself with the CRISPR and you'll go into genetic meltdown mode in whatever limb you selected. Avoid staying like this for too long or you will face medical complications, genetic entropy, and eventually death.

STEP 2:

Find some creature DNA, the same way you got the CRISPR solution somehow. Put it in the DNA grafter. Inject yourself with the grafter, and the DNA inside will be used up. If all goes well, the meltdown will stop, and pretty soon you'll start to see the consequences of haphazardly cramming DNA into yourself. The grafter won't work if you're not suffering from meltdown on a limb. It will also graft to multiple limbs if you happen to be melting down accordingly.

...And that's en vivo gene splicing. This is not a realistic depiction and has obviously been dumbed down/fabricated for the sake of this being a video game.

If you're thinking "how the hell was i supposed to know this", you're right to think that. Eventually it will be made more clear. This post is just for the people who are spawning it in or something.
