Vanilla Reskin Overhaul

Unit Changes
Hellenics :
I love the Greeks during that time period but I hated how they were portrayed by CA. I have first and foremost changed almost all linothorax and some of the penis Phrygian helmets, which I've replaced with thracian helmets. Shared units wear different tiers of linothorax depending on their level, and mail is rare. I also wanted to give a unique flavour to each faction and show what cross culture looked like between Hellenic and local culture. These are the units that I enjoyed the most reskining, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)

Rome :
Pre marian units have chain mail, and not the legionary hamata. I have also added neckerchiefs to all legionaries. Socci units are "romanised" , having more or less the same equipment as the Romans (scutums, mail etc...) Whilst their Italian counter parts (Samnite Warriors, Italian spearmen etc...) look more like, well, the Italians seen in the RotR DLC.

Easterners :
My depiction of eastern units is a mix between of a hellenised people that have been conquered by Alexander and my own imagination of Persians. I have integrated more linothorax and greek helmets to the more Hellenized Persian units and elite units are more armoured. Parthia is the most eastern looking of these factions.

Carthage :
During my playthroughs, Carthage didn't look like the superpower they were at the time, and in my opinion the units looked bland. When I reskined Carthage, I applied the same rules as the hellenics, with less penis helmets and cooler linothorax, with late units looking like a mix between late greek and pre marian Romans.

Barbarians :
Gauls are mail focused, Celts and Britons have more of leather + bronze combo, Nervii and germanics are more the charge nekkid at you type :D Iberians are really differentiated from Lusitanians. Due to their proximity with the Greek world, Galatia and Tylis have a more Hellenic look (to an extent). The illyrians have been pimped out with RotR assests. Alpine tribes have their own distinct look, and finally, I have added leather and sheep mantles most of the low tier units

Desert Factions :
I personally wanted them to look like what western culture portrays them to be. Saba will be your typical oriental faction, Nabatea has a Judean identity, Kush is portrayed as advanced african civilisation, and Numdia's Roman influence is more apparent in their romanized units. Less headwraps in general.

Empire Divided :

I was really disappointed by how the vanilla ED units looked like, specialy the roman ones, so I decided to give them the Vanilla Reskin Overhaul treatment i gave the GC units :)
- Roman factions got the bulk of the work. There is a generalised appearence (to an extent), with units sharing equipment, but that what's going to happen when you got legionaries fighting other legionaries. I also redid a big majority of the auxiliary units, making them less local and more roman.
- Armenia's and Sassanid's changes are minor, mostly to their pants and the mail coifs elite units have, with only a few of units being completly changed.
- Barbarians : Saxons look like proto vikings, Caledonii units have sashes, and celtic units get patterned tunics. Also, i have changed the big a** bronze shields that every one has and replaced them with smaller shields with custom patterns.
- Alanis have gotten very subtle changes.
- Pikemen no longer have shields. They have new animations but their stats are unchanged

Enjoy the new ED :)

Rise of the Republic :

The RotR Dlc was in my opinion pretty well done, but it need some fine tuning. I wanted the units to feel a bit less archaic and a bit more "This happened just before the GC". So the units are basically an earlier form of the grand campaign units
Rome : More linothorax in general and no more corinthian helmets
Etruscans : Minor changes, they were well done in my opinion but they needed some fine tuning
Greeks : Same as the etruscans. Changed of a couple of the linothorax and some of the helmets.
Samnites : Less collared helmets, more shield diversity, and unique units stand out more
Barbarians : I really like the barbarians but something felt off with them : they didn't have any hair :/ so i gave them that. Also, i really recommend a the ACR with the RotR Barbarians
Iolei : Gave them beards to show their savage side. Gave hair to the bald units. Higher tiers get better bronze helmets and coloured shields
Carthage : Linothorax changes

Wrath of Sparta :

Corinthian Helmets galore!!! The WoS DLC has the least amount of units, so i went pretty quickly over them. I changed the linothorax and gave (almost) everybody some form of corinthian helmet. Persians have been changed too (headwraps and pants)
