The whole star control series, while impractical provides inspiration imho. Thought I'd share.

Hi @ Darth_Dad_Bod,
It will be difficult to make something from 2D oldies. I don't think I have the imagination to do this kind of work. Moreover the construction on Empyrion is limited to certain angles.
