Step 1: Don't.

Step 2: Kill it.***

Step 3: Shove it in a freezer.

Step 5: Wait for an "inspired taming" Inspiration on a pawn.

that or get stupid lucky and get the inspired taming AND a dragon within the area
I actually managed to tame a few adult dragons the normal way... even a true one.
I've also bought multiple eggs, so now I have a menageri of a dozen dragons, five of which are adult+ ^^

So I discovered an issue where the pawn control gui disappears if you train a dragon attack fully and this is the error I get

ive gotten all 6 of my dragons by tending them once i knock them down and having them Insta-tame by bonding with a colonist. They usually have hundreds of small bruises and cuts from all the bullets shot at them so the chances of a bond & Instant tame are pretty damn good.

Out of the dozen or so dragons that have wandered into my colony ive been able to tame about half of them this way. Not to shabby imo. The other half that happen to not tame up after i tend all ~150 of their bruises i usually just execute for being stubborn.

If you have ideology that forbids bonding then there won't be any bonding-taming.

I think there's a more expensive way though, but you need a dragon of your own first.

1. Get "inspired taming" on a pawn.
2. Use a mating on your dragon to summon a wild dragon.
3. Use dragon ritual do de-enrage the summoned dragon.
4. profit.

In Xenotype editor, if you scroll all the way down there are three genes that have no image textures, only "red X"

easiest way to tame a dragon? just set the animal taming chance to 1000% in the scenario editor and BOOM you tamed a dragon xD
