Bloodworth, the multiplayer I found out is still hush hush between my friend and I. We will release it to our community once we get the kinks out.

Just launch the game and go for it

Tried that, it does not even come up in the list. Sadly.

check to see if it is installed in the mods section. You have to enable it before playing

From what i've seen the mod does not allow multiplayer....You have to go into mods enable it...then start single player.

Start the game and klick on multiplayer, then on internet, then on standart.

If you really want to use the map on multiplayer games (even if not ready and you won't be able to use the random placement script) :
Please remember that the map is not yet officially released for multiplayer use and thus could not work properly.
I also can't be held responsible for any malfunction after the following steps
(for windows)
  • go in your "My document" folder then in "My games" then "Civilization V" and finally "Mods"
  • find the folder named "Midde Earth Map Pack"
  • copy all the Civ5Map files from this folder
  • go in the installation folder of Civilization V (generally C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meiers Civilisation V)
  • find the maps folder (under the assets folder if i remember correctly)
  • paste the files you previously copied.
  • you can then use the maps in a classic multiplayer game (no need to go through th mods menu)
  • Every player must take these steps to be able to play

likewise, there is a hotseat mod on the workshop up for download.

If you want to play maps downloaded from the workshop in multiplayer you need to follow one of the following guides. I'm not sure which method works better, but you can experiment around with it if you'd like.

  • Go in your "My document" folder then in "My games" then "Civilization V" and finally "Mods"

  • Find the folder named "Midde Earth Map Pack"

  • Copy all the Civ5Map files from this folder

  • Go in the installation folder of Civilization V (generally C:\ProgramFiles
    (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meiers Civilisation V)

  • Find the maps folder (under the assets folder if i remember correctly)

  • Paste the files you previously copied.

  • You can then use the maps in a multiplayer game (no need to go through the mods menu)

  • Every player must take these steps to be able to play
      Or alternatively.
      • Go in your "My document" folder then in "My games" then "Civilization V" and finally "Mods"

      • Find the folder named "Midde Earth Map Pack"

      • Copy all the Civ5Map files from this folder

      • Go in your "My document" folder then in "My games" then "Civilization V" and "Maps"

      • Paste the files you previously copied.

      • You can then use the maps in a multiplayer game (no need to go through the mods menu)

      • Every player must take these steps to be able to play
Thanks to SideWinder94 for putting this into text. <3.
