Subject. Is there a way to stop the smart hoppers from pulling from belts, while still pulling from the ground? I'm trying to automate hydroponics, and I almost have it working, but due to my terraforming mod I get plant scraps as a byproduct that the cultivators won't pick up/haul.

I thought to solve this with smart hoppers, and they do gather up the scraps, however I cannot then automate moving the scraps out of the hoppers because the hoppers will automatically pull them back out of the conveyor belts. Any way to shut this function off in the xmls, or perhaps get a toggle option added in game?
