I thought the original scenario description was rough - here are my edits:

A small group of scientists were sent to aid in the operation of a newly founded factory. With a cargo hold full of new equipment and supplies, they departed their Glitterworld, bound for that factory. En route, their ship encountered a meteor shower and crashed into a barren planet, far from their original destination, and far from home.

Now, they will have to build up a temporary factory here in the Rim, gathering enough resources to escape back to their Glitterworld home.

After 10 days a raid will occur - it turns out these are the same raiders who shot down their ship.
You should quickly prepare for the raid.
