Stats
Pros:
Upon backstab:Victim gets set on fire for 15 seconds
+20% faster firing speed
Cons:
Backstab doesn't kill
-55% health penalty
No random critical hits

But a regular backstab is an instant kill - why would you trade that away to just set people ablaze? Let the Pyros do that.

Fixed it so that the backstab doesn't kill.

why the health penalty? this weapon is srsly underpowered i would never use it if i got it, IF health penalty was taken away then maybe i would.
also, taking away the spys backstab is SEVERLY cripling him, add a damage bonus maybe?

another thing, you can still set them ablaze, just make it so that if you MISS the backstab he catches on fire, then he could distentergrate if he dies by your hand/wep

Yep it good be that oppenents turn into ashes. Or oppenents turn into statue-like figures like the pompeii incident although that might be too similar to spycicle

Upon each successful backstab: The wearer gains 20% fire damage resistance
(skilled spies 5 backstabs maximum 100% makes spies immune to fire)
When active: While taking any fire damage burns nearby enemies in a wide radius

Disadvantages:

-40% cloak duration
50% slower disguise

so these stats would probably work
+sets opponnet on fire (if backstab misses)
+distentegrates on kill
+does normal dmg if enemies on fire(and no backstab)
+10% fire resistance
-10% damage penalty (if backstab misses)
-doesnt set wet enemies on fire on first blow
-no random crits

I think something about if u die by backstab u should have the death animation like the 3rd degree or the mannmelter

fire damage resistance = resist against burning damage and afterburn damage also but not to firing with any other weapon cause all the other type of damage is normal damage against the spycy chilli wearing spies.

Immune to fire = 5 backstab = 5x20% fire damage resistance gained = No afterburn or burning damage while cloak and pyros cannot reveal spies after 5 backstabs, and this time if a spy has a deployed spycy chilli in his hand the only thing that pyros can notice is their teammates are set on fire.

If I would be a programmer and able to change weapon stats I would demonstrate my thinking into the game.

This can be also done, everything is possible if Valve do it. Spy-Cicle make frozen corpses, Eternal Reward makes ppl dead and invisible, Spycy Chilli should makes dead ppl split outta molecules. It is a good idea.

+take half damage from afterburn
+take 50% less damage from fire
-100% damage (unless backstabbing)
-25% weapon switch speed
