Add the GCHQ as a unique building, can only be built once, if the city it's in is captured the captive takes the bonuses. GCHQ notifies you of any deals/communication between other Civ's. Other Civ's are not publicly notified of its existance.
Trait: Sun Never Sets <or> Brittain Rule The Waves
Britain was famous of naval dockyards are around the world, grate admirals can be consumed to build these on un-claimed shore tiles, providing a small amount of sea territory around it, ships can also heal in allied (other Civ's which you have a decleration of friendship with) waters.
Dreadnaught was a very early battleship, maybe wise to have it as a replacement to the Ironclad instead or, if you take history into account, you will be giving the UK a disadvantage :P

That would also help profile this Civ's military as strictly sea/air centered. Fits well with your SAS marines - that idea is spot on!
Thanks for this series. It truly is an accomplishment, presenting a whole era like this.
I don't know. There was nothing really special about the King George Class, was there? Contemporary top-of-the-line Japanese and German battleship designs were just as good if not better - larger, better armed and better armored at least. Britain just had a helluva lot of battleships with skilled crews, that's all.
Anyway, the last and strongest of the RN battleships was actually HMS Vanguard, comissioned shortly after WWII. It was the only ship of its class, built in an era when battleships were already obsolete. I think it never saw war action, unless it was shelling some distant shore in the Korean war.
If I had to, I'd probably make a unique Ironclad, the British ones were by far the best around until the emergence of dreadnoughts. Maybe an Ironclad without the open waters penalty, and a little more combat strength. The Royal Sovereign class of the 1890's had such advantages over its contemporaries.
