Try. For the steam version, copy only cat / dat, or delete the steam version and copy everything from the archive with the replacement of files.

1.13 - added 8 variants of the mod 001. With magnet with burning debris with smoke 002. Without magnet with burning debris with smoke 003. With magnet without burning debris with smoke 004. Without magnet without burning debris with smoke 005. With magnet without burning debris without smoke 006. Without magnet without burning debris without smoke 007. With magnet with burning debris without smoke 008. Without a magnet with burning debris without smoke What is a magnet - it's just a simple name I gave to the explosion effect. It's more like a imploding singularity. A magnet is like a supernova or black hole, where at the end there is a spherical scattering of debris and the generation of a singularity which collapses to form an explosion. The video at the end of the ship's destruction shows this.

This looks like you have gone 'all in' with this mod refresh^^ Looking forward to some #007

If you are looking for another project, how about some curated economies? I find it weird when there are 10 hull part factories in every sector but no one is making advanced electronics.

Smoke in space? For me it is actually the fact I cannot see the engines and hardpoints for all the smoke... and it is space... You won't have this style of smoke in space, it would be a flow, or a cloud or debris. Stuff doesn't burn in a vacuum.

Fire, along with air, can escape from the damaged compartments of a downed ship. In huge holds full of air, fire can come out of the holes for a while along with smog and burning. This is quite real

I am all for realism^^ I think that X4 deals with 'states' of an animation, like 'on' or 'off' so having an animation change it's appearance over time may be difficult. Would be really neat to see a proper simulation though.

That said, I am very happy with this mod as a Fire & no/Smoke~ More options never hurt.
