[WOTC] Multiple Sitreps 2.0: Guaranteed & Categories

Hello folks. I'd like to know if one of you would be so kind as to share your config file. I have 600+ mods with all possible sitreps and am a bit overwhelmed with how to group stuff...

I tried a new campaign with the default settings, but getting 3 different sitreps on my first retaliation/haven assault mission was sorta/kinda/totally impossible :steamfacepalm:

I'd be eternally in your debt if you could share with me your configs, as I can't get my desired setup to work (100% guarantee of 2 sitreps, max 1 raider faction, max 1 hero incursion)

Slightly edited and annotated version of my current setup for you that should give your desired results. You may still get 3+ as ARFMDESitrep_ChryssalidPlanet also forces TheLost to occur for instance, or various dark events force certain ones. Also Abandoned map types force a Lost sitrep in addition to those rolled.

No problem, I've had to rebuild my installation recently so there's probably some I've missed. For instance I don't use the Black Legion mod and I believe their appearance is sitrep controlled, if so they should be tossed into cat2 and group9. There's also one from the Custodian mod that should go in cat1 which I'll add below.

Groups 1, 8, and 9 exist purely as a a backup in case of oddness and can be replaced if more groups are needed. Group 10 could be used for the SCP raiders and the foundation forces sitrep in cat1 if you think think they shouldn't fight themselves. Personally I think they're the most likely to have a group go rogue/get taken over/have conflicting goals so I left them able to do so.

Missing custodian sitrep, goes in category 1:

What if I don't have a certain custom unit mod say from the Hive but I have it specified in the config here? Would it just ignore that, or will that cause errors/problems? I'm asking because I'm not subscribed to some of those that you seem to be referring in the config, and I can hardly tell which one is which (and I don't want to bother checking each and everyone of them). Thanks.

Should be fine. I've got few in my actual config that I don't currently have installed and it hasn't thrown an error at me yet. Might give less sitreps than specified at times because of it though I've not tested enough to see if that's the case.

if you're running rebellius mocx, you'd need to delete the mocx entries in Cat3 and move them to an empty category (in my case Cat6)
since now they're still an additional enemy but no longer working under advent
the Cat6 will now be used for 4th faction units, i advise moving the hive to this category too, since both are using team_one
i also recommend creating a new group for mocx and the hive just to make sure they dont show up at the same time

This config is for 4-way fights with XCOM vs ADVENT vs 1st Raider faction vs 2nd Raider faction. However you shouldn't copy paste it directly as it won't be useable to you unless you have the exact same setup of raider factions. What I mean is that I have 10 raider factions and 5 of them is in eTeam_Two (by default pretty much every author of raider faction mods puts them into eTeam_Two). While the other 5 I have directly edited and recompiled to put them into eTeam_One. You could theoretically copy paste this, but keep in mind that all raider factions will always be teamed up together, so if you sometimes get 2 in a mission, it may be unbalanced.

This is why it's more like a template which serves as a guide if you want to create a similiar set up.

It's set up the way so that Raider factions have 50% of rolling it's sitrep, so you may sometimes have no raider faction, 1 faction from eTeam_One and 1 faction from eTeam_Two or 2 from the same team or just 1 faction from 1 team.

The overall SitrepAmount is 4. Raider factions have 50% to roll, ADVENT buffing and Envieromnetal sitreps have 30% and The Lost/Horde 30%. Factions mods have been also put in a teams so that eTeam_Two have human factions while eTeam_One have alien like factions.

This thread and that first reply by @oceansoul saved my late game crashes.

Couldnt for the life of me work them out, but I think it was because I hadn't set up any categories and was hitching on loading multiple enemy groups. Many thanks :luv:

AbiziBanRuler should probably be cat10, it's designed to trigger based on mission type not random roll. Otherwise probably cat4 alongside most of the savage ones (three that are mentioned on that page as broken should go in cat10 like all other broken ones) if using the setup I posted earlier.

I'm currently writing up a new list, as I rebuild my installation. Will include everything I can find. Like the one from last year annotations will be included, unlike it will be meant for my preferences so categories and numbers will be somewhat different. Multiple possible raider factions for instance.

I am trying to do a run where every map will be littered with Lost. Anyone have a copypaste of how to do so, or can share how to edit the file to do so instead?

dont know if anyone will find it useful but here is an example of how to make sitreps exclusive eg no cerburus raider and cerburus advent sitreps also included is an example of how to only have 1 WHOLE ENEMY altering sitrep
