Celt I wanted to recommend a site that although it is in Russian, there are many images that can be of inspiration.

Have you thought anything special for generals?
I thought you could make specific helmets.
With small variations compared to common helmets.

None of the Rome II HD mods will cover generals sorry.

just something I noticed, there are two kinds of Umbones on the Roman Scuta, but only Hastati use the second type and even then, the Scuta with these Umbones are limited to one texture. Don´t know whether that´s due to a limitation with how variantmeshdefinitions work or if it´s intended.

Just wanted to show you guys, so here´s a screenshot which shows what I mean.

There are 8 Legionaries in this picture of a Hastati unit with this one kind of shield.

Thank you for the feedback but the unit looks are set in place for now. The last set of images you posted is from the Villanovan period and not relevant to Rise of the Republic.

for now the faces are all the same for every culture, Carthaginian Roman Greek.
Thinking in the future to modify them or will you leave them like this?

Greeks have a separate skin set from the Romans. Cultures will get different shades of tone but do not expect unique models for every culture.

ok Celt but also remember the hair.
That every time I see the leves I laugh.

The Leves shouldn't be all bald. You will have to post screenshots.

It's true you're right.
The Roman leves have all the hair, although some seem to be wearing the toupee LOL.
I got confused with the Libyan javelin and the Libyan mob
My mistake

But the Carthaginians you still haven't modified them, so it's all normal.

In any case I noticed that the Roman infantry is generally bald.
Under the helmet you can see.
But I was thinking that maybe it's better this way, less calculation for our video cards.

The other nations will not be bald when they are covered in later mods. For now they have to look like this. Hair under helmets is very difficult to get right due to the multiple helmet shapes so textured on hair will have to do for now.

Hi Celticus, not sure whether you guys have seen this before, but in case you haven´t, this is a reconstruction of the Aemilius Paullus freeze in Delphi by M J Taylor, so you´ll have a representative sample for the GC version of the "Polybian" Roman Legions.

https://html1-f.scribdassets.com/76ktqmhvy877no9o/images/12-431c1e8cde.jpg

"The Roman soldiers on the frieze wear two distinct types of armor. Of the seven Roman infantrymen, four wear muscle cuirasses: (6), (7), (15), and (24), while three wear mail shirts: (13), (20), and (27)."

Taylor postulates that the cuirassed men perhaps represent wealthier Socii, which fits the prominent role they played at Pydna "Paeligni, Marrucini, and Samnites".

Taking artistic licence into consideration, perhaps the artist wanted to convey a uniform appearance similar to how Legionaries are exclusively portrayed in Segmentata armour on Trajan´s column.
