Ship Texture Update Plan
Hey guys I'm planning on doing some further updates to the aesthetic of the current ship models and textures. I want to differentiate the ships from this mod from BFG:A2 by adding some extra in-lore details and other things that I feel would represent ships from 40K more.

With the older textures, I feel like it's pretty hard to get a sense of the ridiculously large scales of the ships in this mod as the smallest ships currently in the roster are the size of imperial star destroyers with cruisers and larger being the size of entire cities. Therefore I feel like adding more details in the form of small emissive lights dotted around the ships' hulls would add some sense of scale.

As for the aforementioned texture update, here's some early test screenshots of some cruisers with the new textures. First are some close-ups of a single cruiser where you can clearly see the emissives and light details:

As you can see, from close up it's easy to see all the light details on these ships as if they're their own individual city-scape whilst far away, it gets hard to be able to see the details and the ships are reduced back to their original look and so the lights don't get very distracting.

What are you guys opinions on these texture changes? Do you think this adds more immersion or is it a needless detail? Discuss below!
(the textures in the screenshots are all early-versions for testing and not representative of the final look)

All your work is phenomenal my dude. Is there any way to rescale the ships somewhat to give the largest that extra scale? Or the escorts/corvettes to be smaller.

Edit: I ask this without knowing how Stellaris handles ship scaling, naturally.

Yep, I'm planning on rescaling all corvette/frigate/destroyer models to fit more with in-lore specifications - which pretty much means that all those ship models are being downsized somewhat but not by too much. Scaling ship models in stellaris pretty much means changing one line of code e.g setting specific ship scale = 1.5 to scale = 1.3 for a slight downscale so its really not much work :p

Once I'm satisfied with the state of this mod, Necron ships are the next thing I plan to mod. It will probably be a couple of months before that happens though.
