I can have a 2.5k fleet with only 5 corvettes in 2205. That's destructive to most AI ...
(I'm not using any other mods that enhance ships)
In the future, try editing your posts into one. You don't have to post several times in a row.
1. Although the Scrin are highly dependent on Tiberium and their bodies are heavily integrated with it, I wouldn't consider them as a Lithoid species. I believe the lore from Tib Wars states that they are bio-mechanical or akin to cyborgs (at least the drones sent to Earth were). Also for gameplay reasons, I wouldn't do it because some players might not have the Lithoid dlc.
2. Ichor Extractors follow what they do in-game where they generate funds. However, if you want to go for the lore perspective, then that's fine. Tiberium is known to leach minerals from the ground making it easier to harvest, so it does make sense.
3. Alright.
4. I did something something similar with Energon and Dark Energon for a Transformers mod, so I could possibly implement it here in future updates.
Okay, my bad. I'll condense it here.
I suggest the Scrin be a Lithoid species. They should also be able to extract minerals from the Ichor crystals.
For the Ichor Extractor jobs, replace energy production with minerals production, and add some energy upkeep.
For the Scrin Planetary Relay Node, instead of producing Green Ichor, just make it produce a lot of energy, at least 100 energy. Replace Green Ichor Crystals with Green Ichor instead.
Give them optional traits that would buff them significantly at the cost of having them needing Ichor. Having an upkeep of blue Ichor should buff them more than the green Ichor.
Fair enough. But I feel there should still be a submod for them to be lithoids. Or at the very least run on Ichor instead of food. Because I feel for a species that based its entire existence on Ichor, may attempt to convert its diet to minerals instead of food. At least I think so.
There's two ways that could fix this. Make it so that research tree can never be accessed if you play as the Scrin. Or just make it so that the pops can't be infected by the disease if they have the Scrin trait.
In fact, why not just make it so that the Scrin protraits has to have the Scrin trait like how lithoid portraits have to have the lithoid traits?
On a side note, the other reason why I decided that the Ichor Extraction jobs to also produce minerals is because the moment I started my game, the mineral mines were all destroyed by the Ichor. I'm not sure if that's the fault of the Tiberium Wars mod or not. But either way, this should fix the problem.
I imagine Ichor being this parasitic ecosystem destroying, planet reshaping, force of uncontrolled menace that when it shows up on a planet, it destroys everything. It should destroy all the generator/agriculture/mining/housing districts. Once it builds up enough of itself, it should make the planet hostile to anything that isn't the Scrin themselves or have adapted to it. Which is why I suggest you should remove generator/agriculture/mining districts on Ichor Hub worlds because (assuming they're Lithoids) they won't need it.
That said, you should also make it so that Ichor can infect uninhabitable planets too. Like Timberium Wars, you should be able to infect planets like barren, toxic, or molten worlds. Depending on the lore, it might be a slower process, but it's another avenue of expansion.
I also noticed that Ichor infected worlds don't give pops Tiberium sickness, or in this case, Ichor sickness. Could you make that a thing?
Another thing, I know it's a gameplay reason, but I feel using influence to seed worlds makes no sense, why does the Scrin cares if some other planet is wrecked with Ichor? If it's a planet the Scrin have colonized, that's fair enough, but a planet not even owned by the Scrin? Now that should be free game! Especially if it's an occupied enemy planet! Seed that planet! Let's see how long the inhabitants can last before the entire planet become a Ichor crystal deposit!
Also, turn the Scrin into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crisis! Make them spread Ichor to neighboring systems! Rather, make it so that Ichor would first spread through its own system, then onto neighboring systems! When your neighbors gets infected with Ichor growing in their capital, have them be pissed off at you! Rather, determine how pissed off they should be at you based off the Ichor infection in their border to their capital. If it's starting at the very border of their empire, they should get annoyed at you. If it's infecting their colonies, they should be angry at you. If it's right at their capital, have them be furious at you! You could even give their planets some debuffs based on it! Give instability to their pops! Eventually their pops would either adapt or completely die off. Leaving you free real estate! Wouldn't it be great to eliminate your neighbors by infections, while having a ton of habitable worlds for your Scrin pops to inhabit? That would be great! Added to the fact that infected pops may want to flee to other empires, infecting more worlds with their presence! Making other empires have this moral dilemma of either refusing infected pops, or trying to cure these pops. It may even give them insights on how Ichor works. Wouldn't it be nice to then also eventually have the galactic community deem you a existential threat based on how much you want to infect the galaxy?! That would be a great play through wouldn't it?
Anyways, I'll try to make a hot patch removing some of the annoying research that keeps popping up. I have research on auto, and it would eventually research stuff from Tiberium Wars without me noticing.
