Well, I can lockpick gates, open and close the doors and build some interior stuff inside two house. And I can build anything around them. I'm not sure about what the point of it all but at least it gives us Tech hunters as allies :-D
The point of them, in a roundabout way, is to give the player an excuse to encroach upon the lands of the South Eastern portion of the map, in order to experience the more intentionally late game area of the game. The knock-on effect is better relations with the Tech Hunters, as well.
