The Legislative Question
This looks interesting but I wonder, and this might be beyond the moddability (more likely something for a future DLC), if you have any plans to add the legislature. More specifically, with Royalty DLC, I would love to see something akin to the British parliamentary system, particularly in the 19th century, when you have elected House of Commons and the aristocratic House of Lords.

I want to build parliamentary debating chambers for both houses of parliament, with benches on opposing sides for the government and the opposition, and also have a constitutional monarchy with the prime minister and the cabinet who are also members of parliament. One complication, though, is that colony base maps might be too small to divide into districts for elected members of parliament to represent. Theoretically, each colony could send one or two members to the parliament in the capital, the main and original colony, but I am not sure how that would work.

I would also love to see things like property qualifications somehow but that might be problematic if individuals don't have their own wealth separate from the colony wealth, especially since there is no actual money system internally in the colonies yet (only have money system between factions right now).

If you are interested and think it is doable, I would be more than happy to provide you all information I have on the British and American political systems. You would be shocked at how much I read and know about them. :p

Anyway, all of this is probably a pipe dream but I got to ask anyway. :p

I think the main problem with introducing parliaments (especially bicameral) is that most colonies are far too small for that. I've been thinking about it, but so far it looks like an unncessary complication. RimWorld's scale and focus isn't really suitable for such detailed simulation. Maybe I'll eventually introduce it in some simplified form. But thanks for offering to help!

Larger colonies might be more suited to it. Just thinking about it off the cuff, the minimum to me would be a 5-person legislature for a colony of no less than 25 pawns, with 5 per seat, which can be voted upon using any number of methods, and probably be able to be scaled up depending on a lot of things, mostly growing population. I agree it wouldn't work for smaller colonies though
