However, after seeing your comments, the general 5 men squads make sense. But the line formation they take on is bothersome, in that they form up in a straight line pointing towards the enemy they fired at, instead of forming up in parallel to the enemy
i.e. they do this

The additional squads would add on like this:

Basically they multiply outward and not deeper like you'd think. They basically take the same formation and multiply it to the sides so for the larger Ork Boy blobs you get a full ork blob stretching over multiple hexes that's why they look boxy.
I could just rescale all of the units to be much smaller to fit into the hexes better.
