I played as Windhelm (bear clan) today. It is a little challenging to play with it (the mod is challenging and I love it!) but I think the map needs a little more stone and iron deposits. Closest stone deposit was so far away from me :(

I have also experienced the lack of resources that you have mentioned. You will like the v1.1.2 patch then. ^^
