I also noticed, under consoles, that rumble units are mandatory for consoles now and logically independent from the components.
Thanks, I will fix that for the next mod update.
I wanted to start a new game today, using this mod, and I noticed that the game does not load the mod since it is throwing and exception when loading new_02_streamingsoftware.tyd.
I also noticed that the patch 11.7.16 (released 28-Nov) has a note that says "added type checking to SIPL to avoid loading mods with obvious script errors instead of them failing mid game". I think that is why the game does not load this mod anymore.
Here is the stacktrace given by the game:
System.Exception: Error loading software type: new_02_streamingsoftware.tyd with error:
Error loading feature Donation revenue split: Error compiling EndOfDay script for feature Donation revenue split in software Streaming Software: Exception: Could not convert parameter 2 of MakeTransaction from 'System.String' to TransactionCategory - at Product.DevCompany. >>MakeTransaction(cut, "Stream donation revenue")<<

When do you think this can be fixed?
Thanks!
This has been fixed with the latest update! Thanks for reporting it!
Could you please look into this? I'm certain this is connected to the mod, as I've never encountered this in vanilla.
Thanks for the report. The glitch is because of the script for the Proprietary format level 3 feature on Office software. I've temporarily removed the feature until the next update as a quick fix.
I'm really enjoying the mod. Not sure if this problem exists in Vanilla as well, but it seems I'm unable to tech up my Console sections (System, 2D, Audio, Hardware etc.) it says i'm missing the relevant research. The thing is I've researched every tech up til' 75 and it's still stuck on 1970 tech.
I will be the first to admit I have not really worked with Consoles before, so it's possible it unlocks further progression much later.
Yes, console OS will always be about 5 years behind on tech level, and phone, car and watch will be about 10. This is part of the vanilla game.
Also, the Proprietary feature for the Office product line is still causing the huge negative number bugs fixed value problem. Apparently it was not temporarily removed.
I have not researched at all because Research appears to be broken (probably the base game and not the mod but I felt I had to mention it). The a.i. automatically gets there first most of the time via RNG and not by actually doing any work (even simulated) and they will also invisibly just cancel the research they were 1 day from beating you on if you save scum and go back 1 day and cancel yours first. I restarted my last game when I confirmed this behavior (which I assume is the most unfair on Impossible).
Love the mod mostly though, keep up the good work!
Yeah, I'm working on balancing features for the next update. It's proving more difficult than I thought, though, lol.
The Proprietary format feature was temporarily removed in the last update, but you have to start a new game for data mods to update, so that's probably why you still have it. You won't have that feature if you start a new game, but if you don't want to do that, I'd say just don't choose that feature. That feature is being reworked for the next update as well.
And yeah, the mod doesn't affect how research works at all.
Thanks for the feedback!
How does that work, exactly, when you get more returns than you sold copies? That product must have really inspired some creative rage! ;D
Oh well despite those disqualifying and impossible failures I was still able to offload the product line to a computer player for 10 million... for some reason...
Congrats on selling the IP though, and lucky for the computer company, they can’t use level 3 scripts.
Did you enable the mod when you started a new save?
