XCOM 2
[WOTC] ADVENT Armor: Trooper
-=[Novash]=- 19 Aug, 2020 @ 5:52am
Advent armor as cosmetics.
Just in case anyone want the parts as cosmetics (will NOT give the wearer any of the bonuses and effects that the real armor of this mod does).

Add the following lines below the existing ones in the XComContent.ini of the mod (NOTE! Always make sure to create a backup of the .ini before modifying it):

; Kevlar Armor

+BodyPartTemplateConfig=(PartType="Legs", DLCName="AdventTrooperArmor", TemplateName="AdventTrooper_Legs_EQ_M1_Female_PARTS", ArchetypeName="Armour_Dor_Trooper_WOTC.ARC_ADV_Dor_Legs_F", Gender=eGender_Female, bVeteran=false, ArmorTemplate="KevlarArmor", CharacterTemplate="Soldier")

The lines have now been modified to provide the player with an in-game slider to control the chance of the parts showing up on new recruits.

Slider is located in-game in: "Edit Options" -> "Gameplay"

I mean, you could easily just use the Advent Armory pack if you wanted them to serve as cosmetics. Me? I prefer them looking good and serving a function at the same time.

Actually there is more to it than just the use of the parts as cosmetics. Like I wrote under one of the other armors:
"People might be wondering, why also having the armor as parts could be useful and the way I use it is to add extra bits to the armor, like for example the really cool packs from the "(B:R) BLACKLIGHT: RETRIBUTION - Backpacks [WOTC]" (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1720887614) mod and/or the cosmetic jets from the "[WOTC] Jet Packs by Iridar" (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1576958692) mod, then I save the whole appearance with "Uniform Manager WOTC" (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1507601209), go back and equip the actual advent armor from the mod and then paste the appearance with the extra bits from "Uniform Manager" onto the original armor and boom! now I have both the cool looking armor with the extra bits and the nice set abilities as well :steamsunny:"
