In Altered Carbon - All citizens are born with a stack in their neck. THAT said, maybe instead of all kids born with stacks which I do support but sounds like a way to stack farm. :D

You have to join the Altered Carbon ideology in order for its members to be born with stacks, or be friendly with the main Rimworld Empire? After all, Government controls who gets stacks, metal is simply mined off-world and shipped to Protectorate.

Also, I love the idea of fabricating stacks, but what if comets sometimes fell with the rare metal making it 10x easier to make a single stack? I hope this helps!

It was a custom religion with stacking as a meme, any colonists that joined as children would have the permanent negative moodlet as you cannot install a stack until they reach adulthood.
