Bug Report: Colonists lose their ideology role on backups
Confirmed that this happens with only base game + DLCs + this mod. Basically would get any pawn with a stack, make them a moral guide/leader. When I click 'Emergency Backup', the roles vanish. They also vanish on the daily backup.

even opening the backup bar wipes it for me

This is happening for me too. Likewise, the Vanilla Persona Weapons Expanded feature where upon becoming a Baron/Baroness+ giving you a letter event where you can pick a persona weapon fires every time the backups go off too. Sometimes multiple times.

Also, only happens if the colonist who holds the title has a cortical stack implanted. If they don't, it doesn't happen.

I am also having this bug I am just going to turn off back ups till it is fixed

After removing backups 2 out of my 3 people with roles still got them removed I am not sure why. All 3 have Stacks.

If you start a new save where you never enable backups to begin with, the issue shouldn't occur. Likewise, if you disable automatic backups and never click the backups tab again, save, reload, and reassign the roles, the roles should be fine after that.

Would like to add that I'm getting this issue as well, however it is exclusively occurring with the leader/moral guide. My melee/shooting specialists retain their role normally.

is it fixed? i made a new save and tried the backup. it did not remove leader roles

I have not played today yet but i will say if is working as it should today. I will try a old save and a new one.

I'm getting this issue as well with my religious/moral leader roles - The problem seems to be the pawn duplicate made by the backup is identical, including the role, and the game removes the role from both pawns, presumably because you're only allowed to have one.

Notably, I don't have this problem with specialist roles on pawns with backups.

It also removes pawn settings from other mods like 123 Personalities
