These are only unit ideas - if they will make it in the mod and the way they will make it is not planned yet.
Working on 13 new units.
Before I post any new screenshots or progression pictures I want to wait for the permission from the mod authors for their used assets.
Morion for the Tierco is no problem, for the Barbuta I have to see what I can do.
After all please have in mind that you provide me your ideas, these are no requests and I decide which of them might be added to the mod.
-> this last sentence is just a legal/law information just in case of security. Please don't feel attacked or offended by this. (sounds more serious than it should be xD )
For balancing purposes consider these changese,
Geonvese Crossbowmen- give them a silver shield for missile defence, a range and damage increase, a +30 armor increase to be more in line with the armored look of these units. You can add the Barbuta helmet in varation to this unit as well.
Tierco- Can you add the pikeman ability to them that Cataph's pikeman units have? Also an increase in armor protection around +30-40. You can add morion helmets to this unit for more varitey in line with the tiercos of spain.
You can give the Milanese line of units the Barbuta as well from their milita unit to the heavy infantry.
These are just some suggestion.
The stats and weapon/ armour tweaks are not the problem and I will consider it for a "bug fix" update.
To the Barbuta helmet, as stated I have to look...models and textures work in a way that is sometimes a bit strange - from time to time it seems that the same models which are part of two different mods overwrite each other and become invisible. Solution for this problem is to rename all models and all their textures. The problem with Cataph's models is that they are build from different exsisiting models... The point is I will look if they work properly but if not I will not add them.
For thepikemen ability, I want to leave my mod as independent as possible, if I use his values for the pikemen then Cataph's mods are a hard requirement and I don't want to force people to use his mods (despite the fact that they are game essential). Same as for the helmet models I have to create this ability by my own to keep my mod standalone but I don't want to "copy" Cataph's ideas that much. I'm happy with the models and their textures and maybe in the future I will introduse custom effects and abilities.
I hope you get the point.
i haven't played the offer units yet so i will give more feedback as i explore all the units. i like all your units though, it adds an awesome layer that could one day lead to or inspire a overhaul medieval era mod for ttw2. Keep up the good work!
