Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid

Bow and Arrow
Suggestions:
-Compound Bow looking more like the Compound Bows we all know and love from different pieces of media.

-Recurve Bows. A middle ground between Hand-Made Long Bows and Compound Bows.

-Having the "Archer" Trait give you the before mentioned Recurve Bow, Not just giving you the best bow from the start

-Different Bow Attachments, weights, rangefinders, or steel plating so it is harder to draw, but shoots farther and harder.

-Draw animations as a feature from this mod.

-Arrows being accepted from containers on the player, be it bags or satchels.

-Slightly more letal arrows. Explosive Arrows would need to have their recipes read on a Magazine, or... you could use a nail, some ductape, an arrow and a shotgun shell.

Ooh, suggestions. I based it on a compound bow from the 1990s rather than a more modern one because game is set in that time period, though. Recurve bows, yes, that makes sense and is possible. Bow attachments, well, yes, that's a thing that could be done. I don't know how to add animations, but perhaps it's possible. Automatically taking arrows from something other than a designated quiver, that's technically possible, though I'm leaning more away from it than towards it.

The main problem is I don't feel like to working on this mod now...

Oh, there seems to be a bug that I don't understand. It has Client.QuiverTypes, but it's checking for Shared.QuiverTypes, but the script is somehow not aborting on trying to access a null like a table.
Takedown bows maybe, Gluten?

different bow strings, arrow heads, have the compound bow be the only bow that can accept accesories??

talking about the compound bow, maybe some color variation might be possible?

And don't worry dude, no pressure, it's your project amd you decide when you work on it! A B42 port would be neat tho...
