Bug reports
Let me know if something seems buggy here. Maybe it's the mod, maybe it's vanilla, maybe it's Maybeline. Hopefully together we can figure out which.

To answer your question about the Reconquista bug, I don't know exactly when it happens and haven't really tried to pinpoint the exact time. My experience with it was very similar though both times. As the count/duke of Provencal, convert from French to Occitan culture by the decision. At some point after this I noticed all of the Reconquista boni on myself and from there on all other Occitan characters I checked.

However I haven't looked to see if Occitan culture gets it at some point if I don't convert, I haven't noticed it to be there for them at game start but I'm not 100% sure about that either.

In the innovation screen Reconquista is not shown among the other techs for the Occitan like it is for Iberian cultures that I checked.

hm, interesting. I noticed a different bug where the effect was duplicating. My current beta build has a fix for that. Will play around with that a bit and see if I notice anything along the lines of what you're mentioning, then I'll push that out. The current (live) version does perhaps conflict with the vanilla files in a weird way, which might explain your issue. If all goes well, fix should be up tmrw evening.

Sounds great. This might be some sort of a vanilla bug, I have a vague recollection of seeing a post about it from a while ago on the PDX forums.

Yeah so I did some testing and it looks like it's a Vanilla bug. Reported it to PDX and others seem to have it as well.

For now, I'm ditching the updated Reconquista. It seems especially vulnerable to the bug. My current beta build has a couple northern duchies of Spain being classified as Catholic "heartland" by the Pope, which seems to help them survive most of the time.

Just so you know, this mod duplicates William the Bastard on his dynasty tree. He shows up twice, as if he is his own brother, his children all show up twice too. Disabling this mod reverts it back to normal, not sure why.

This is fixed in my beta build now. I try to keep the mod as "light" as I can to improve compatibility, but sometimes the files do weird things if you don't replace them fully.

I am now unable to modify feudal contracts. Even when i have a new character because my guy died or my king is a new person cause he died it still says that i have already changed obligations even though its two new people since the last change.

Hm, is this always the case for you or is in a specific scenario? Based on the fact that you said "last change" it seems like you can change it sometimes.

I haven't noticed anything like that but I'll check some more.

To follow up on this, I can't seem to replicate this issue, so if you have any specifics that might point me in the direction of your problem, just let me know! Also, ofc make sure it's not another mod.

Hey thanks for the quick reply that's awesome. I went back and made sure it was this mod by turning the others off and trying again. In my game i chose the preset of Eudes in France. My liege originally was king Charles ll he lived tell like 80. Current liege is king louis ll. I can modify my vassal feudal contracts though not like in vanilla where a hook was enough. Now it will not let me change a vassal using a hook and one change since it says a hook cannot be used on a fair change. Not sure if thats a glitch or part of the mod.I can only use a hook to change a vassal contract by doing two changes and using hook therefore giving myself the tyrant negative. Now the real issue is i cannot change my contract with my liege at all. Even though king charles is dead and my former character eudes is dead it still says that my contract has already been changed when i try to change it. My contract has not been changed since king charles made eudus switch to high tax using a hook against me which was as i mentioned two lifetimes ago. My liege made me spymaster recently not sure if that matters. Thanks for getting on this so fast that's great!

Update: when changing my vassals feudal contract using a hook I could not change it from normal to high for either tax or levies using just a hook because it said hooks cannot be used on fair changes. However i was just now able to change it from high to exuberant tax using just a hook.
Sudhir  [developer] 8 Oct, 2020 @ 2:43am
Hm so I've started the game with that character specifically and I'm still not seeing it. If you're still having trouble, perhaps just write a step-by-step of what you're doing to see the bug so that I understand correctly.

Also note that sometimes the game's UI does weird things. I've seen it say I gained tyranny for revoking a title I had a claim on, but I didn't actually. The tooltip was just wrong.
QuantumShadow 8 Oct, 2020 @ 9:29am
Im on my third character now as my other two have died. It still shows the same thing when i try to change my contract with the king. The vassals are the bigger problem however. I cannot change their taxes or troops from normal to high using a hook because it says hooks cannot be used on fair deals. So the only way for me to increase the contracts is to get tyranny and yes it actually give me tyranny and decreases their opinions of me. However i can change their obligations from high to extra high using just the hook. Its only an issue from normal to high. I cant make it any clearer with a step by step. Maybe its just a fluke if you cannot get the same. Ill just have to deal with it. Thanks for looking into it though i enjoy the mod. Mostly the change it makes to military. The vanilla ability to just summon all of your troops instantly with any rally point was just plain dumb aswell as the crazy fast rate of rebulding your army. Like the changes you made to fix that allot.

issue seems to be resolved now that I am king. Can change my vassals obligations with hooks no problem and can change obligations with the emperor which i have now overthrown.

Interesting. Glad things are working for you now at least. No matter what I did, I couldn't replicate the bug you were seeing, unless I was just misunderstanding.
