However I haven't looked to see if Occitan culture gets it at some point if I don't convert, I haven't noticed it to be there for them at game start but I'm not 100% sure about that either.
In the innovation screen Reconquista is not shown among the other techs for the Occitan like it is for Iberian cultures that I checked.
For now, I'm ditching the updated Reconquista. It seems especially vulnerable to the bug. My current beta build has a couple northern duchies of Spain being classified as Catholic "heartland" by the Pope, which seems to help them survive most of the time.
This is fixed in my beta build now. I try to keep the mod as "light" as I can to improve compatibility, but sometimes the files do weird things if you don't replace them fully.
I haven't noticed anything like that but I'll check some more.
To follow up on this, I can't seem to replicate this issue, so if you have any specifics that might point me in the direction of your problem, just let me know! Also, ofc make sure it's not another mod.
Also note that sometimes the game's UI does weird things. I've seen it say I gained tyranny for revoking a title I had a claim on, but I didn't actually. The tooltip was just wrong.
Interesting. Glad things are working for you now at least. No matter what I did, I couldn't replicate the bug you were seeing, unless I was just misunderstanding.
