Question: What is the purpose of Forge Material Soul- Decision?

Hello Guys,

I have forged the Material Soul, but I still get the "I will die in one year" event" . The description made me think that I don't die. If this is not the case what else does it mean?

Did you die in the end or was it just a bug?

I did die. I guess if the calculation of my death is before doing this decision then latter is voided somehow and I am guarenteed to die. :/
