"Stats"?
Your ideas?

My idea:

+ 300 instead of 200 metal
+ More explosion damage
~Replaces normal sentry with this flying Surprise at the cost of 150 (because flying)
- Sentry is only placeable with the shotgun
- Slower Move Speed
- Slow Weapon Change
- Wrangling it don't give a shield
- Can't make 2 of it at once
- Explodes after 10 Seconds
- you are the biggest destroyer of fun

- One lil'sentry allowed on the battlefield at a time, launching anymore causes the previous one to self-destruct.
- Normal Sentry deals 10% less overall damage.
- Replaces primary.
- All buildings take 30% more damage from sappers.
- Lil'sentry will remain alive aslong as it is dealing damage.

Sniper: "rubbish!"

i disagree Beginners (but not a N00b)' stats.

my stats:

+costs 50 metal
+5 metal on kill (the shotgun not the sentry)
-50% firing speed of default shotgun
-25% of reload speed
-cannot build sentry (or it deactivates when it is built) while having a flying sentry on the battle field
+75 hp on normal sentry (deactivated only)

@Beginners (but not a N00b) the shield is pointless. its there for no reason. execpt it can take les damage about by 15 or something.

I think he may be wanting to make the lil'sentry a tad bit more like the main...But moving. But I still don't see the point in it exploding after 10 seconds, as it costs a wopping 300 metal for it just to scrap itself after dealing minor damage. Plus it doesn't have rockets so what's the point in increased explosive damage? Suicide sentry...? Kinda pointless if you ask me xD

Here is how I envisioned it:

-Replaces shotgun (primary).
-An Engineer can have only one Surprise Sentry deployed at any time.
-Regular Sentry build time +33% (this can be countered by equipping the Jag).
-Regular Sentry health -25%.
-Cannot gain Surprise Sentry launcher ammo from dispenser.

-Deployed Surprise Sentry has health, range and damage stats the same as mini sentry.
-Costs 50 metal (in addition to Launcher ammo) to launch the sentry.
-Deployed Surprise Sentry will last either 15 seconds, or until destroyed by the enemy.
-Deals low bleed damage on contact with enemy.
-Explodes upon death, similar range and damage as a demoman bomb.
-Has 360 degree horizontal movementrotation but only 10 degree vertical rotation, for a more limited aim window.

-Can be shot AT an enemy, causing low damage and severe knockback.
-Will deploy at the first solid area it hits (Will deploy beside a wall if it hits said wall, or wherever it hit a player).

Pros- able to dodge projectiles one at a time
5% more bullet protection

cons- only works with default shotgun
wrangles are half weaker and takes longer time to wake up after switch
can not repair normal sentry or other buildings while its in motion
explodes after 20 seconds and hurts anyone near it

- primary wep cant shoot bullet, it shoots the surprise sentry instead
- surprise sentry works like mini sentry and can be destroyed by enemies
- require 30-50 metals per shot
- 1 surprise sentry (and 1 regular sentry by the pda) at a time
- surprise sentry duration 8 sec, 15 sec cooldown
- cant be wrangled and repaired with wrench or RR (the wrangler works only with regular sentry)

this stats could raise this wep chance to be considered by valve around 1-2% lol

i mean you can deal damage just shooting at an empty space like demoman!

D'alright.
I like the stats that Electronic Fox gives, though I do have a few minor suggestions to those:

- Regular Sentry and Dispenser -20% health (rather that 25% from just the Sentry)
- Only requires 50 metal to fire (rather than 50 metal and Launcher Ammo)
- Mini Sentry Build Time +10%

- Alt Fire detonates Surprise Sentry early, causing a 10% larger explosion than if it was destroyed by an enemy or ran out of ammo.
- Reload takes 15 to 30 seconds (to make sure players don't spam the Suprise Sentry in one spot)
- 10% shorter range than the Mini Sentry (same amount of damage though, since you can shoot this directly into or behind enemy lines to cause chaos).

The only problem I see with Electronic Fox's stats are 1) since it replaces a weapon slot, can there be critical surprise sentries? and 2) If it's a knock-back projectile until it hits something, can it be reflected?

Having it airblasted by pyro would offer a solid defense tactic, as for crits, I think any crit sentry my be a bit much. Maybe let it have random crit shots like any other weapon, but the sentry itself shouldnt be a cryit sentry.
