Hey Carni! On Seal's stream today somebody pointed out that their Trypophobia made the class unsettling. Maybe a patch or palette that's safe for that?

I think this should go here, but the blight for Diluting venom doesn't increase as it's leveled up as it should do according to the design document

I just checked it it scales properly but the tooltips dont. I will hotfix that soon. The skill as its intended effect in game though

We don't plant to make any alternative art versions for specific phobias. That would partially redrawing any sprite since his holes are such a big part of the artwok, then we would probably need to do an arachnophobia patch and so on .... Not possible to cover for any particular phobias wich can occur in dark phantasy horror game. You can warn your audience before going into a mission with him or going ointo the courtyard where the patterns appear anywhere.
If oyu stream regularily we can also hihlight your stream on the modpage, we usually do that when people play some of or thing

Hive is permanently infected with his own version if the Crimson Curse. But i infected him with a default version in the hospital. Bug???????

Where to start... When The Hive uses his camping skills, all of his lines show up as broken blue strings. His Diluting Venom skill inflicted 0 x 3 rounds of blight on a bleeding target. He does seem to have a unique yet interesting concept as a mod character. Keep his health levels high, inflict infestation, bleed, debuffs to act as a frontline tank. The problem is that he requires a long-ass time for setting-up to show his full potential. In 99% of the time, a regular hero-composition would take far less time, effort to finish a fight, being more effective, efficient AND much less of a pain in the ass to play. I do believe that The Hive has the potential to be a great mod character, but I think that he REALLY NEEDS a rework, rebalancing, etc. I wouldn't be leaving this long-ass comment if I didn't care. I really do think that The Hive can be much, much more better than this. This is coming from a random player with 5000+ hours of Darkest Dungeon playtime so yeah.

We will fix the blue strings sometimes that happens on release. The venom works as intended even when the ame might show 0 rounds. it stays as long as the bleed is on as the skill tooltip states.

Due to the nature of him being aimed towards longer combats and sustain in early levels of the gamemost of his skills dont have time to shine. You can still default to some of his more direct skill for the scenarios. Rushing is just more efficint in the early stages though his skillset becomes more rewarding in the later levels where dots and extended combats play a bigger role. Its more in the nature of how early game and short fights work.
Other dot character and mark characters suffer from the same early game issues.
If you struggle to find use try to pair him up with other bleed characters to directly benefit form the syergies. Hes mor aimed towards palying around team setup rather then doing is synergy rotation all by himself

If you have any concrete feedback we love to hear it, while such a general statement is not really helpfull. That does not realy give us any point to start of making changes if you wish to see some.

I did use The Hive with bleed characters such as the Houndmaster, Flagellant since that seemed to be the obvious thing to do. I also got him to level 6 ASAP and then kept playing around with him for hours and hours and hours with level 6 party comps so... yeah. I may not be the best Darkest Dungeon player but I do have 5000+ hours of gameplay and hopefully that counts for something or anything at all. I am quite certain that The Hive is seriously underpowered at the moment. Of course, DoT and Mark parties do need setting-up, sure. But they need MUCH less setting up and benefit MUCH more from setting up compared to The Hive. If something requires much more setting up to function and benefits much less from setting up... that's probably underpowered, right? If you need "concrete" feedback to realize this... then too bad. It shouldn't really need "concrete feedback" since it's really just in plain sight to see. Besides, what concrete feedback would you need? DPT charts? A several page report on why I think The Hive is underpowered? I have video footage of playing around with The Hive if anyone needs it but yeah. I come from the Korean Darkest Dungeon community and while it's true that a lot of people are interested in The Hive, the general consensus is that "The HIve has a nice concept, but its balance is yet a bit unpolished." I could give you specific suggestions on balancing if that's what you want/need... but I thought that would be pushing it since you are the creator while I'm just a random player. I take part in beta testing, balancing feedback in the Korean Darkest Dungeon community and when in those cases, I am much more direct with my words and offer more... "specific" words of advice on what to do. If that's what you want, I am willing to offer.

Hi, I would like to report a potential bug which could cause CTD. It's just my guess but I think it is caused by something related to the bleed dot, when a companion attacks a enemy which is bleed there is a possibility that the game will freezing and immediate crush to the desktop. I met this 3 times in a single dungeon, after reload the save in the same fight I would need to move or use some no-damage skill to skip the turn, and other heroes could kill the enemy. Also sometimes a enemy which in its turn should die from a bleed dot could visually stuck for a split second and then with no damage but a increased bleed dot on it, you need to attack the next turn to kill it. It's very weird and I have never met the above issues in my hundreds of hours playtime of DD before, for now I assume those are caused by this mod. If the author could look into the code and find out if there is any glitch that would be highly appreciated.

Hello, as 辉耀与黯灭 said, indeed, if the Hive infects one of the allies, the game crashes when there is a bleed. There are also blue inscriptions (phrases) during the camp and in the transitions between the stages of the crimson Hive. There is a small note, the Chitinous Reach animation looks like "they" are moving forward. Maybe it would be better if it really moved to one position? And the Crimson Cloud constantly misses (only 90 ACC at the 5th level of pumping). This skill is not strong in terms of damage, and not strong in terms of crit, but constantly misses, can it be better to raise at least to 105 ACC?
And so the mod is just super, very interesting concept. Animations, skills, trinkets, it's just super!:)

Bugfixes

- Diluting Venom tooltip properly scales now
- Crimson Cloud Accuracy properly scales now
- Temporarily removed ally infest on act outs until its resolved

Balance
- Infestation now ticks more agressivly and returns faster to be more responsive in early to mid dungeons/deals faster dps
- Diluting venom base DMG and Blight amount increased
- Propaget Buff Increased, added Speed buf to proc the summon faster
- Eggs are generally more rewarding now
- Crimson cloud Debuff amount increased
- Propage Debuff amount increased

Swarms propaganda trinket - Mark disappears between battles. Have to unequip and re-equip trinket to get mark again.
The first of many trinket - I've entered wasting status a couple times after not giving him blood

I feel like Rebellion should let you turn corpses into eggs and maybe bypass stealth or guards.

Localization
- Some broken Strings fixed

Bugfixes
- Very Rare Trinket now properly prevents wasting
- Propaganda Trinket now properly scales with bloodsucker amount (gave 1 to much SPD before)
- Act out now has an animation

Balance
- Infestation Bleed and Healing amount increased
- Rebellion now ignores Guard
- Ant Eggs now grant 10% --> 20% PROT per summoned Nest
- Propaganda trinket permamark removed (bugged)
- Propaganda trinket debuff chance 30% --> 20% to compensate for downside removal
- Overall Bloodlust act out ratio slightly decreased (positive and negative)
- Additional food consumption from wasting/craving removed
- Act out now infect allies with curse instead infesting them, chance decreased

I haven't had any bugs yet but I have some feed back for the mod. The first would be the sounds for some of the abilitys, for example chitinous reach, it doesn't feel like it carries that much weight if that makes sense. Another suggestion would be for rebellion to come back to heal you after you slay the target rather than it just disappearing or just continue feasting on the corpse. It's a very strong ability already but that would make it so much more appealing to use on weaker enemies.
