When tracking the movement of a ship... assuming most ships are going to be traveling at relatively slow speeds. It will take 30 seconds or more to give the ship enough time to travel a bit of distance so you can plot the next point to determine speed and heading.

I don't see a need for a delete contact button. I think it's pretty efficient the way deletion works now.
