new additions suggestions please?
guys, we have deployables and the governor with his bodyguard. Also we have legionary centuria at the governor disposal in every town and a wardgogs unit. I wan't to reduce the fire ignition levels of doors. I wan't fortified cities with wals to be a real challenge, you either use siege or climb walls cause burning doors should be harder. Other wise it renders fortifications almost useless.
Any new suggestions?

If possible, increased ammunition for defensive artillery - considering sieges in reality lasted for months and sometimes even years.

Urban Cohorts [Garrison only] for high level settlements would be a nice addition too.

And much later if you can, a whole new model for forts, that can actually contain a 20 stack force.

Just FYI the model for forts is hard coded into the maps. It would not be able to be edited or moded as far as I know

Hence the 'much later if you can', my friend. Hopefully CA will adjust a few stuff further down the line of patches and updates so that modders have some more power.

A Praetorian Guard for the Garrison for the City Rome
I wonder if CA will create a map maker...

Maybe a row of barricades around a settlement with no walls.

thank you guys. I'm taking note on all suggestions. Once i decide which suggestion to include, i'll open e voting so we can have consensus.
Fewer units or something if you replace plebs with Roarii. Adding features like barricades etc. is a very good thing aswell. Adding features is one really really good thing. But dont make the garrisons bigger and stronger than they are in vanilla, they are already OP. Especially since siege AI, even on Legendary, is a kamikaze pilot not hitting the target.

For Roman Campaign, you should have only roman units defending as garrison in Italia. In other places, it should be a new unit of auxiliares and a local chief, or governor

^ That would be far too complicated to implement.

Giving romans a fort every time they defend is a great and realistic idea. They would of course not receive a fort when in forced march, then they would still be ambushed.

of course ! its true what you say :D I would like to actively contribute with ideas to this mods development so abel if you think its ok, I have sent you a friends request. I am a fan of romes military power and find this a bit inaccurate in the original game.

there are so many things that can be done. Maybe even for the entire game not only for rome itsself. I mean for the entire game experience. For example what i find annoying : armies which wan't to avoid fight can easily bipass an army you put in front of them and reach a city which is behind your own troops. this is very unrealistic. enemy movement triggers an automatic reponse from you. its weird to think that while they move you cannot ...until they have reached their destination. This is only the first thing that pops into my head right now. :)

what you are suggesting is a whole new mechanic for army movement? The current one could be made better by reducing effects from forced march and overall movement points...
