I know that if you beam to your ship or leave a planet, your automated equipment stops working until you return.

On an Eletrolite planet I setup a Galvasteel Extractor and a Dustrium Extractor, but with burner and a couple thousand plant fibers to fuel each. The extractors are about 250 blocks apart. If I sit at one extractor to ensure it stays running, the other extractor doesn't fucntion.

Few questions I have:

1. Is there a specific range equipment needs to stay within to continue to process?
2. Is there a way I can link them like extended wiring to keep them both on?
3. Should I be using a mod that was made to fix this issue, and if so, what is it called?
