Merge Guide, And making compatible with other mods
While the first version of this was deliberately made to be easily incorporated into other mods, the most recent version is substantially less so. If you have concerns regarding when mods work correctly together or not. just list them here. I'm following this thread and will answer questions you have.

When trying to make any mod compatible with "The Agency" start by performing the below actions.


If your loading along side a mod that normally has custom decisions that are now broken when running along with agency, consider removing from "the agency" the file

----common>decisions>categories>00_decision_categories.txt

This may fix the problem. however without this file, then the only way to activate the "recruit foreign operative" decisions is by finishing all 4 "Operative Recruitment" agency upgrades.


If loading along with a mod that has customized Industrial or Economic laws, the consider removing from "the agency"

----common>ideas>_economic.txt

all this file does is adjust the National Intel reveal rate of some of the existing vanilla laws. this is a minor balance fix at best and not necessary for the proper running of "The Agency"


if running parallel with a mod that changes the game to take place in a different time frame than standard 1936 or outside of an earthly universe. or if you just don't want any of the added Political Advisers added by Agency. Then remove the following files from "The Agency"

----common>ideas>TALLagency.txt

----events>SovietUnion.txt

----history>countries>GER - Germany.txt

These changes are all linked to the new political advisers connected to the historical scenario the world faced in 1936. The Ideas file contains political advisers for nations that existed at that time. The events file allows for tool tips to pop up when running Stalins Purge letting you know when you are about to loose some of the new custom Soviet political advisers. and the History file replaces Otto Skorzeny from the list of staring German agents as he is now a political adviser.


Also if your running the game in some alternate universe (IE: MLP, Halo, or a fantasy world of some kind) remove

----common>on_actions>05_lar_on_actions.txt

this is the source of the linguistics trait fix. It keys off of nationality tags. If your game doesn't have a germany, england, france, etc.. then none of the changes here will work and may in fact break any other changes your other mods makes.


If you don't want the changes that add new intelligence agencies or their corresponding icons to the game. then remove from "The Agency"

----common>intelligence_agencies>00_intelligence_agencies.txt

this one is pretty self explanatory.


If your looking to remove the changes to existing operations, these changes can be found in several places. if the operations adjustments are effecting another mod, then you should remove all the below folders.

----common>operation_phases>
----common>operation_tokens>
----common>operations>

once these are gone, the operation effects will go with them.

For some reason with Novum, Germany turns into the German Sultante
GER - Germany.txt in the history folder caused it
Deleting it fixes the issue

(Sorry in advance for posting it twice, just wanted to be sure that you'll see this) Hey, could you please do something about Germany? Let me explain, i have a UMC Germany mod installed which basically remades germany's focus tree, attributes of generals, political advisors and such. But your mod completely breaks it by overwriting almost everything to vanilla. Could you please change that?

@Leo if you need to fix it ASAP, go to Steam>Steamapps>Workshop>Content>394360>23875...>history>countries and delete GER - Germany.txt

Leo: UMC is extremely comprehensive

i would suggest removing the following other files
events>SovietUnion.txt
common>ideas>_economic.txt

If UMC is also effecting general/admiral traits then also remove
common>unit_leader>00_traits.txt --(this may break the linguistic fix)--
