Any sugestions, throw them on the pile. When I get back to this i'll likely check here first.

To-Date discarded ideas
  • Setting up 'teams' of operatives much like generals are lead by a field marshal. – took a brief look at this, unfortunately this set up is a bit out of my depth. For now, this idea is abandoned until I somehow get a better grasp on how this is done.
  • Compatible versions with other major mods. – lost more than a week on this before the fact that I wasn't getting anything done hit me. I WILL get back to this at some point, but it will be after the next version AT THE SOONEST.
  • An alert icon, indicating that you have idle operatives waiting for a mission – lost half a day to this project. As far as I can tell, most of the core programming for those alerts is hard coded. This would be nice but its not going to happen, abandoned
  • Adjust AI to use Espionage missions smarter. – for the life of me, I can't figure out how to AI weight operations, this IS something that needs to be done but we wont see it in the next update. Sorry guys.

A suggestion: It seems like the vanilla Plant False Intelligence mission underwhelming and inaccurate.

  • To execute requires a network level of a target country but affects all non-allies which is exploitable. For example, why execute this mission against UK with its good counter-intelligence when you could target Tannu Tuva?
  • You cannot specify the type of units created. Creating false amphibious units would have a different a impact on enemy actions than false armored units.
  • There are no options to directly reduce intelligence to others as the current ways feel like side effects of other methods. I.E. lack of ground combat, more restrictive trade laws and improving counter-intelligence.

Ideas for improvements
  • Base the number of ghost troops produced on army_intelligence_to_others stat of the source country.
  • Create a trait for agents that specifically decreases intelligence to others. This way spies like Dusko Popov and Juan Garcia can operate from outside the target countries as they did historically.
  • Train ghost troops from the division deployment menu with a pool of ghost-troop manpower similar the way puppet divisions can be deployed. Army groups currently appear in large numbers out of nowhere out of nowhere giving away their false existence.
