Cliche Quest: Episode 1 Balance Feedback
Please use this thread to leave any feedback, suggestions, etc. on enemy, skill, item, etc. balancing.

If you think you got unfairly killed by an enemy leave a note on what the encounter was and what level you were.

Please nerf poision. Some ideas:
-Less Damage
-Spell to remove it
-Have it last temporary aka no damage outside of fights
-Cheaper item to remove it. 100 is a bit high.

Overall very challenging and balanced! I was just annoyed because I bought 5 of those antidote items (I forget the name you use) and ran out mid dungeon. I was forced to leave and come back, which consumed a lot of time. I think your players would enjoy the game more if you softened the blow.

Thanks. I'll check it out again when I'm reworking the rest of the game. On my own playtests, I had already decreased enemy chance to poison but you might have had a helluva bad game but I'll take another look at it anyway.

The problem with poison isn't the chance of getting it. Once you're inflicted with it, you're forced to either use an item to remove the status, kill the enemy the very next turn, or try to forfeit the battle. And then save every few steps until you make it out of the place safely so you don't get killed in one hit after taking poison damage from outside of battle. It passes through your defense, so everything else is currently damaging me for 8 points while poison damages for more than an herb can heal, combined with the enemy's attack that turn.

Thanks for the extra points. I'm currently revamping the game from the ground up. The next update will be the full game instead of just Episode 2. This is something I'll take a look at.

That's awesome! Aside from poison, the game seemed pretty fairly balanced to me. I'm excited for the full game, keep up the good work!

I was tinkering with this last night. I put a cute looking inkeeper into the arcade part of the dungeon that talks the adventurer into staying the night. Theres some funny dialog I put in and once he rests and wakes up he discovers the inkeeper changed to an ugly hag.
