Red Tide
Red Tide - Review by Endless
★★★★ 4/5: High quality treat

First thing first: From the title, I was expecting a campaign set in Russia or something like that, not Florid haha. But here we are, and I'm still quite pleased! This full campaign has some really nice quality sets that go well hand in hand. Consistency is key, and this campaign follows a solid pattern that's both cohesive and natural. There's storytelling through map design, and that's always a great plus whenever we talk about maps that manage to create a sense of immersion.

This campaign took me around 40+ minutes on the first try, so we have some maps that are quite large, yet because of the good quality and well-balanced gameplay, you won't feel the time dragging nor the need to rush everything. There's plenty to explore and enjoy, always moving and always finding something cool. Some maps might have needed a bit of more work or detail, such as the 4th map, or some of the coastline in the finale. Yet, it's only a small nitpick here.

The gameplay can be quite challenging at times. There's a lot of zombies and heavy use or hordes, but the author was kind enough to give you a lot of items and weapons to face off against hundreds of infected. Pretty fun to play and it's actually manageable in solo play alongside dumb bots.

Red Tide is a really solid and fun campaign set in Florida land, home of the Florida man. Some more details could've gone into the quality and progression of it, but on its own, it works 100% and flows nicely without any major backdrops in quality. Good stuff.
