Sup. So I just encountered this funny bit where resolving a civil war with a status quo dissolved my federation. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it may have been it.

It definitely may have been.

Can you give me a little more context? As in, how many people were in the federation, was the civil war started while the federation was created, etc?

Right now I have it set to pull countries out of Federations when civil wars occur, and then put them back in when they're over, so you shouldn't have been in the federation during the Civil War at all.

It was me and a hive mind in a regular federation. We'd been in a federation prior to the civil war, and were at war with another empire when it happened. It was an admiral rebellion, I think. One of my army generals rebelled and took a planet and a few systems with her. We were in a federation during the civil war, btw. It only pulled me out of the federation after the war ended in status quo.

I should also mention that I activated the mod mid-game, btw. I don't remember if I was in a federation before I activated the mod tho.

Hmm so first, Admiral Rebellions don't take any planets, just fleets. So I assume a general or someone else rebelled. Admiral rebellions also do not pull you out of federations. I'll do some testing within the next week.

Yas, it was an army general. My federation pal wasn't at war with the rebels either, but we were still in the federation during the war.

Thanks a ton for the help, bud. Love your mod. BTW, is it possible to actually win a civil war? I conquered their planet and all systems, and got their war exhaustion to 100,but they still had like -180 to surrender.

Really? Sorry about that, it should definitely be possible. I may have to adjust the modifier a bit. I'll look into that when I go over my mods in the next week. A bit swamped with homework right now.

No wait, I'm lying. I just remembered the weirdest thing happened.

So after my general rebelled I thought she took only one of my planets with her, but after I ended the war with status quo, I noticed that her nation wasn't destroyed. She had a planet in my ex-federation partner's empire, but it was like, twenty or so jumps away and there was no way she could have conquered it during the war.

Do you think the civil war could have given her that planet somehow?

Also, I get weird messages every once in a while. 'Project complete', but I'm not researching anything. Also messages about spying on myself? Like, I gained +1 insight into my own empire.

That spying on yourself and message stuff almost surely isn't this mod. As for the planet thing, I don't know. I have seen weird instances where Planetary Rebellions seems to sometimes get additional systems (another reason I think I'm going to get rid of them).

But, I may have found the problem with your federation thing. Updated and possibly fixed.

Amazing! Thanks a billion, my guy. You're the best. :lunar2020confidentrooster:

Thanks, fixed.

I just had a game where the governor of my primary sector revolted and then...nothing happened. My fleets were shuffled around a bit but there was no enemy in sight. I had only one sector and all my ships were stacked on top of eachother but no signs of combat or anything that I could see.

Meanwhile an advance start neighbor is fighting a 3 way civil war and appears to be losing.

Hmm, the core sector should never revolt. What I assume happened is that some workaround got the process partway started, but when the Civil War went to kick in, one of the many checks I put in place cancelled it.

Cool stuff with the neighbor though.

the core sector not being able to revolt or break up seems kind of broken (or at least exploitable) since I'm 33% over administrative cap. Shouldn't individual planets be able to rebel when you only have one sector or something?

Edit: I think a few border worlds just did. I had to create a new core sector though.

Rebellions can still happen in core worlds, just not the Civil Wars.
