Traffic in São Paulo and Napoli is horrible, and it's far too expensive to replace major roads with four-lane roads due to the need to move housing about. This is making an otherwise-nice map a very slow experience to play on. I like the huge cities in theory, but it'd be great if the default road layout could have more four-lane roads where they're needed for the high volume of traffic. I've never seen a city grid-locked with horse-drawn carriages before.

@seotemberwave: just build public transport intertown and the private traffic is handled.

@Mats. why ships can't transport Liquor?

I see it as a challenge for the player to manage the traffic in the two big cities. Adding public transport, building bigger roads, underground roads; there are a lot of options that can help.

@Huperspace: Because liquor is produced in both Italy (Limoncello) and Brazil (Cachaça). I wanted coffee, immigrants, machines and cotton to be part of the intercontinental supply chain (in both the old and new world), and in addition to that have some local products (only in one of both worlds), like fish and liquor.

then why is the second town demanding liquor by a italien isle. And Cloth as well as Fish is transportable with ships between BR - IT
you could set a filter for the "BR - IT" ship line.
the one ship "BR-IT" line isn't enough to handle 500 imigrands and 225+machines as well as the 200*5 coffee + 225 wool, there is no option for self made ship rute as you only have one small ship with no Atlantic Crossing ability.

1890 Locobreque has no model icon only a purple quare.

Thanks. I'll add the Locobreque icon in the next update, and increase capacity of the AI ships.

Any tips in the early San Paulo mission that I'm missing. I'm stumped early on by the draining of money providing food, machines and clothing and not enough to proceed with building train line.
Are there ways to produce revenue so I don't go broke? Are emigrants just automatically leaving for Brazil or am I supposed to be sending them there.
I admire the work that you developers do, and enjoy the problem solving, but without a hint or two, this one has me stumped. Help!!

This mission seems to disable the Escape key and Save/Load menu so is not playable. This issue has been reported a couple of times over the past few years so could someone please explain the workaround.

Hi everyone,
I feel like an idiot, but the intercontinental transport doesn't work for me... Can someone help?
I have food dropped off in Naples port by truck, it just doesn't arrive in Santos!
I checked everything about 20 times, can't figure it out...

Remember it can take about a month to arrive in the New World. Check the Factory producing the food to see if there are units allocated to the destination town. Unless the entire chain is set up, nothing will start moving. See if the Naples truck stop has the Port in the catchment area then hop to Santos and see if there is a truck stop with vehicles waiting to pick up and drop the incoming Food.

Hi ! It looks like a bug : when I use the Wilhelm to bring fish to another port, it only accepts to carry half of total, only 35 of 70. The other half can't be filled, it remains stuck on the "passenger" option which can't be filled on a cargo port anyway. Can't make this profitable with only half of a boat to use. Any solution ?

I am currently playing through this mission and so far I have found the challenge enjoyable and manageable and even have a couple of big profit lines up to help with late game. But currently I do have an issue with trying to deliver coffee to Naples. The connection is working but it only seems to want to ship coffee to it in single digit amounts. I don't know if there is a discrepancy due to the AI ships or something weird has happened in my current save but it doesn't seem to want to supply the coffee to Naples even though it is possible to.

The only solution I found is to bring passengers too to try to make it profitable.

To make it worse, the Wilhelm seems to accept cargo – fish or food – only in the front deck. But when there is already just one passenger on that deck, no cargo at all will be transported. So you have to consider your line very carefully to really have the fish transported when you want to take passengers as well.

Playing on steam deck has been quite troublesome.

Mission 1 - no real issues
Mission 2 - lots of (sudden) crashes
Mission 3 - the cancel? button (B on steam deck) 90% of the time doesn’t work. It’s to cancel the action, get out of a menu or close a menu screen

Any idea what’s the issue?
