Crashing when approaching UCH Research Vessels, Polaris Orbital Refineries, the Ancient Warp Gate, or when starting on the Rogue or Dark Rogue planet.
On some older versions of Windows the mp4 video decals cause a crash, possibly related to a directX problem.
Workaround for now is to do the following:
Go to the scenario's workshop folder at:
For Project Eden: SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\383120\2464519802
For Reforged Eden: SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\383120\2550354956
Then search it for .mp4 files, and delete all of those files.
Then load your save game again. The POIs in question may be damaged, in which case you can regenerate them using a console command (use 'help structure').
You will have to repeat this fix if the scenario is updated, or install and play using a local copy instead (requires a new save game).
This fix can be applied to a server as well, just remove the .mp4 files from the scenario's folder.
Solar power inconsistent on CVs. (Reforged)
Solar power was never meant to be used on a moving ship, so solar output on CVs can be inconsistent. Try relogging, leaving the area, or the playfield then coming back to your ship.
Some POIs do not show up on the detector or show up at low ranges.
Some POIs are set to either have a low detection range or to never be detected. Things such as smaller Pentaxid Asteroids, Smuggler Outposts, or wrecks often have a lower detection range. This is intended to provide a reason to actually look around instead of relying on the detector for everything. This won't be changed.
Cannot deconstruct some items.
Some custom items and devices are set as a base item which means they cannot be deconstructed. This is a limitation of the crafting system for those items. If it was possible I would allow them to be deconstructed.
Planet size in select starting planet screen doesn't match in-game size.
Game bug.
POI problems. Before reporting a POI, use the "di" command and look at the blueprint name of the POI. If it doesn't have a prefix like "Eden" or "RBA" then it is a vanilla POI and I cannot fix it.
If it says "Eden" "RBA" "RBOA" "R-something" then please report it here.
COOP does not load due to a game bug.
Possible workarounds: Run a dedicated server instead, or install the scenario as a local scenario using the steps listed in the Project Eden Configuration Guide then start a new save.
Orbital NPC patrol vessels despawn right away.
Space Defense ships (those that spawn as part of a space base defense) will warp away when they lose all their weapons, or self destruct when they are disabled. This is a hard coded game mechanic that cannot be changed.
AI ships and drones get stuck.
Just the way the AI currently works.
Autominers do not deplete or cannot be used on a resource.
Autominers will never deplete voxel deposits, even when the game options are set to deplete.
Autominers cannot be used on gold deposits to prevent breaking the in-game economy.
Ore deposits stuck at 10% remaining.
Status: Known issue.
Sometimes when mining a planetary ore deposit they will show 10% remaining even when you've mined them out completely.
I would like to inform you that I found an anomaly in Localization.csv on 7/18 1.5
There is a line:
Eden_CultistCrossbowCultist Sycophant
Isn't the correct form the following?
Eden_CultistCrossbow,Cultist Sycophant
It might be a CQO where Cultist Sycophant spawns.
(My English is not good.)
Okay fixed for next update. Thank you again.
If you regenerate the POI it should fix it. I think typing "help struct" (without the quotes) should give you the commands to regenerate it.
Question, is this a bug or am I missing something? :)
