Harmful Mold - Counter?
A couple games ago, I went to war with someone and noticed they had some sort of infection spread across their worlds. This is the first time it's happened to me. I haven't been able to find a counter to this event. No way to mitigate it and the quarantines didn't really do anything. I'll keep plowing forward for the experience's sake, but wondered if there was something I missed on how to fight the infections in the first place or otherwise remove them from my colonies.

there is some Technologies that help, but it will spread and spread. I think that there is final NO counter to thatt

There is a counter for it through research and technology. However, I think its bugged or at least did on me. Your best bet is to remove the issue with the console. Utilize command "effect remove_modifier = x" where X is the modifier's name. But here's the exact command: "effect remove_modifier = harmful_mold_1" "effect remove_modifier = harmful_mold_2" and "effect remove_modifier = harmful_mold_3"

To clarify, there are 3 types of mold modifiers. 1, 2 and 3. So use each command I stated above accordingly to remove via the console.
thank you

There are two technologies to be explored. The first allows you to clean the planet from the fungus. Disinfection is carried out using a planetary decisions. The second technology opens access to vaccination, also through planetary decisions.

yes but dont stop, i erradicate it, and time to time come back, vaccine and desiffection and come bac afte some years, this is unplayable and so much expensive to sustain.

I checke all my pop and none one got it, all planets are clear, and again, it happens again, didnt understand,

I think its one of those angry computer challenge modes where it attempts wipe everyone out in a race to beat the player before they finish the game.

maybe, but in gameplay translate into review every planet every year to just waste resources into vaccine. no sense.

Yes, I agree. After you do it some many times it becomes obnoxious. The AI is terrible at managing it and usually the AI controlled empires get wiped out.

I agree that the harmful mold event is a bit of a game ruiner at the moment, especially for the AI, which seems very, very bad at handling the situation. I'm currently in late midgame, and other than my empire, the fallen empires and a bunch of xenophobic isolationists on the other side of the galaxy, pretty much all the other species in all the other empires have gained the debuffing "infected" trait that has completely ruined their economies and caused their empires to descend into civil war.

I liked the harmful mold event. It was very interesting. I used the planetary decisions and I used gene editing to solve the problem. Well done!
The event and its cain are very cool. I really liked it, but that it constantly reapears on the planets even when you researched and used all the counters, that really cripples the game. And the AI is absolute dead when it happens to her ^^+

Please reconsider reworking the event in a way that the AI is less affected and it's less micro intensive to handle and has an ending
