Potential Bug Reporting
Hi JNR,

Loving the playlist so far - still going through my first playthrough and in the post-classical age at the moment. However, I'm noticing that I'm 1-turning all civics all the way up to the renaissance era, even though my CPT is only 150. Please see screenshot here: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955927983910/7447E0DB2C5C29D85F84A84C28AA03A69A7905C7/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

My science seems to taking the correct amount of time. I did notice someone else mentioned something with science overflow in the grand eras mod comments, and I'm playing with no changed parameters - just everything on this modlist and some cosmetic mods. I did notice that the 1-turning seems to have started once I started in a golden age during the post-classical era, so maybe that can help troubleshoot the issue?

Hope this is helpful. Thanks again for all that you do!

I'm beginning to think the overflow issue is being caused by the either the Extended Eras or Grand Eras mod. There seems to be a "catch up" mechanism for civs behind in tech/civics, by discounting the previous era when it switches, but this causes the massive overflow slingshot if you enter a new era slightly behind. After 1-turning like 6 civics, I'm now researching renaissance era civics in the post-classical era.

EDIT: Ignore above, I was able to replicate this bug, please see next comment

I was able to replicate this culture overflow bug, with some screenshots:

1) Researching Exploration, 13 turns to finish - https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955931689999/8C63D83DAE4BE2F655BA2A11720935D133E9BA08/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

2) About to chop woods in Magnus city to finish the IZ (district, not building) - https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955931689852/429D5BFD24C034F36BEF61983490B131A71016E6/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

3) After chopping, suddenly Exploration civic is completed - https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955931689710/C3906CA0FA971BD74B65E97009BECAF9420C3121/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

4) The entire civic tree also shows 1-turns for a few eras ahead, so probably overflow bug - https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955931689603/14D1660CC5E1AB6886AB123AC3C20730005B09F5/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

5) I'm suzerain of Ayutthaya, which may or may not have something to do with this bug. Its bonus is supposed to apply to buildings, but not districts, as far as I know. But either way, 10% of production for IZ is not thousands of culture - https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2430327955931689379/664893B9289EC1AF4056B9D1F8F1D1D447A0FA7D/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

6) Well I completed the IZ in Magnus' city naturally without chopping the woods, and still got the overflow bug, so now I'm stumped. I had the dam queued up after the IZ in multiqueue, if that helps:

Does it keep happening when you're *not* the suzerain of Ayutthaya?

It didn't cross my mind earlier that I could declare war on Ayutthaya to test that. Will do it once I get the chance.

Confirmed, I reloaded an older save, declared war on Ayutthaya before chopping out the IZ, and no culture overflow bug occurred. So it only happens because of Ayutthaya's suzerain bonus applying to the IZ completion. Perhaps it has to do with the mill race building that's given for free when completing an IZ? Does that have super high production costs, leading to an enormous amount of free culture?

I guess going forward, I'll remove Ayutthaya from my games unless this bug can be fixed. Thanks for looking into it!

Yes, that's it. I lowered the cost for the Commercial Hub Wharf dummy to avoid such freak issues, but forgot the IZ.

Glad I could help troubleshoot the issue!

Thanks for the help. The tricky part will be making the solution, because making buildings too cheap can also come with issues related to Trajan's and Hammurabi's abilities.
