Installing language patches
Thanks to everybody helping to improve the mod, especially those who submitted a translation file!
If you wish to translate the mod in your language, leave a comment below.

To install a language patch, follow the instructions below or in the "language patch" folder of the steam mod directory.

Naviguez jusqu'au dossier de votre module Cataclysm. En général, c'est quelque chose comme ça : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\475150\2502915308
Accédez à la version du mod que vous souhaitez modifier et, à l'intérieur, au dossier "language_patches". Allez dans le dossier de la langue que vous voulez installer.
Copiez le fichier Text.arc dans le dossier des ressources et remplacez le fichier Text.arc dans ce dossier. Bonne lecture!

Перейдите в папку модификации Cataclysm (\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\475150\2502915308).
Перейдите в папку версии модификации, которую вы хотите изменить (cataclysm или cataclysm_chaos_edition), и внутри неё в папку «language_patches». Перейдите в папку russian.
Скопируйте файлы Text.arc и Xpack2.arc в папку ресурсов (resources).

Hi, I'm interested to translate this mod into german. Is there any mod translation instructions or any programs which I do need to translate it?

Hi xXMitzuhideXx, thank you very much for offering to do the translation. As far as I know, somebody else is already working on a German translation. Of course you can still go for it if you want to. :steamhappy: If you do, you don't need anything special. The file with all the text is in resources\Text\ModStrings.txt in the steam mod folder (Most of the time something like this:C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Custommaps\cataclysm\resources\Text).

Ok, but I was trying to translate it for my own. Unfortunately my translated part didn't show up in the Game. I don't know but the texts showed up like "tagnames.......". Maybe I didn't use the right tool or programs. I actually don't have many experiences by working with files expecially arc.files which you use for the Text.arc. Can you recommended a tool for opening and editing arc. files?

If you want to see the text in the game, you also have to use either the artmanager that is alsoready in the normal Titan Quest Installation folder, or you can use the arc encryptor: https://titanquestfans.net/index.php?topic=320.0
You can use one of those to generate the Text.arc file and replace it in the ressources folder of the mod.

hi Acamas, Could you tell me step by step how to pack "ModStrings.txt" into the file "Text.arc"

I tried using ARC Encryptor but instead of packing ModStrings.txt into text.arc it packs the entire folder where the file is located, then when I unpack my translated text.arc to check if everything is ok with it it turns out that text.arc is actually "folder/modstrings.txt"
And when I unpack your text.arc, modstrings.txt is not in any folder.

I don't know how else to explain it, I hope you understand what I mean because my English sucks

Hi isrin, yeah the ARC Encryptor does that, unfortunately. I used the ArchiveTool.exe from the game directory to encrypt the language patches. You need to make a batch file to run the encryption. I'll paste the code I used below. You just have to change the paths to suit youre needs and should be good to go. In my example, the ModStrings.txt file is in the folder C:\temp\Text

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Titan Quest Anniversary Edition
start ArchiveTool.exe "C:\temp\Text.arc" -update "ModStrings.txt" "C:\temp\Text" 6
