I think thats one of the significant issues that Star Wars replica ships face in this game: the propulsion/power issues (atmospheric). It would also help with PCU/block limits, ship appearance, and ship maintenance immensely.
So I don't want to step on that creators toes.
As far as other SW thrusters go, I was looking at these ship's engines as "possible" thruster blocks:
Republic
* Arc 170
* V-Wing
* Y-Wing
* Eta-2
* Delta 7b
Old Republic
* Liberator-class
* SGS-45 Quarrel
Randoms
* Scurrg H-6
* N-1 Starfighter
* Razor Crest
*Sith Infiltrator
What about the Republic gunship ( LAAT-i ), and the torrent fighter (you might've had that in your list as I don't remember what the designation was).
List looks nice. This would allow for a wider range of smaller ships to become practical (and to work) in atmosphere (while trying to keep number of parts low, and not having weird proportions just to make it feasible).
SG ARC Class (Arc 170)
SG Razor Class (Razor Crest)
LG Nebula Class (Nebulon B)
LG DP-2 Type (DP-20 Gunboat)
LG C7-A Class (C70 Corvette Outside Pods)
LG C7-B Class (C70 Corvette Middle Pod)
