I think its called random unit state or random unit behaviour. I believe its compatible with valour, your units react and respond in slightly random state when attacked. Some will get knocked out temporarily, some panic and run, tanks if hit hard will cause the crew to leave the tank and flee. It works on the players army as well as the enemies army.
