You also get a REMOVE INVALID button for the javelin as well, but it does not hang up the game.

by the way, got the same bug, but did the suggestion above, didnt work out
the only way to "avoid" the bug is this:
start the campaing with no mods, get to the part where you repair the centurion and repair it, then you save, and apply this mod and all others
that SHOULD work
Using vanilla YAML (and my other mods, and Coyote's Missions, vonBiomes, PilotOverhaul) i started a new campaign, and it just worked.
EDIT: also had TTrulez and omnicore_gameplay (altrough im sure i tried it with only yet another mods and didnt recognize the repairs)
Repeating "Repair" and "Repair Cancel" many times progressed the mission
