MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

Yet Another Mechlab

Almost Certainly a Bug. ( pause menu - weapon groupings menu - all values 0 )
(update is at bottom)
I'm not sure if this mod is the cause, but I only started encountering it after this mod updated from 0.7.0 to 0.8.0 / 0.8.1 versions, and this is literally my only mod which has updated in this period. During normal use of the mechlab and weapons grouping menus from the dropship menus, everything works fine. However, when i pause while in a mission and open the weapons grouping menu, all values for all weapons show 0 for everything. My initial assumption is that one of the other weapon mods (YAW, YAW-C, FasterBullets?) or HUD mods (Simple zoom?) are having a miscommunication with this mod after the new update. The HUD in the bottom right shows appropriate values during mission and all weapons function appropriately, the only thing wrong is the display of the values in that specific menu when paused while in-mission. It's not even that big a deal, I only even noticed it because my memory is crap and i have to constantly re-check my max/optimal ranges for all my weapons every time I swap mechs.

I'm also not sure if cross-loading from Steam mods and Nexus mods is affecting anything, but it didn't appear to have any negative effects on my game prior to the 0.8.0 update.

Mostly just putting this out there in case I;m not alone in encountering this, as it has negligible impact on play. Thanks for your time and the outstanding mod! This mod provided what was sorely missing form the base game.

EDIT - Update:
I ended up deactivating all mods except this one, and still had the same bug. Upon removing this mod, the issue went away. I am fairly certain that the bug was introduced with the change from version 0.7.0 to version 0.8.0, but I only noticed the issue while on version 0.8.1, so i cannot be 100% sure it wasn't during the 0.8.0 -> 0.8.1 update. The issue is still present in version 0.8.2.

Oh I see. Hm. That's unfortunate. Not sure it can be simply fixed, considering all the data the tooltip pulls from mech quirks, weapons, yaw :s

Eh, it's not too big an issue. It's actually required me to put more effort into properly remembering the range values of my loadouts, rather than constantly pausing and re-checking them, so thanks for that? Also, I would bet good money on it being related to the value adjustment from the introduction of the quirks. The weapon values i am seeing in the mechlab do not seem to be accounting for the quirks, which leads me to believe that the calculations are either not displaying properly in mechlab or are being made and applied at mission-start, which could help explain the values all going to zero if there was a calcualtion error. Going by the fact that every single value was set to zero, I think it is much more likely that whatever code you are using to pull the adjusted values simply has a typo somewhere and is pulling null values instead of the proper ones from the referenced weapons.

Regardless, it's not game-breaking and it has negligible impact on playing. It's a very small price to pay for what this mod adds to the game.
